Just saw Incredicoaster POV: gonna give credit where credit is due, it looked pretty good. An improvement over the unthemed Screamin'. Not really sure why people were expecting dark ride-esque show scenes with full AA's.
I don't think anyone expected full on dark ride type scenes... but still expected better. Static figures, Jack Jack on sticks... honestly I've seen better at Six Flags.

The only thing I honestly expected more on was that Jack Jack on poles bit. I was thinking it was supposed to be Jack Jack popping up and down, teleporting around you. But instead it's just an endless line of babies on pikes. It's very poorly done. I'll take the "unthemed" and "storyless" version of the attraction any day.

I hope you guys get the chance to check out the Pixar Promenade area as well as the Lamplight Lounge. I know the rest of Pixar Pier is a let down, but these two areas are really nice upgrades. And I think the coaster will be a much better experience at nighttime. Luckily WOC is down for a few more months.... lol.
...With its downscaled version of the chandelier that’s been hanging in the AOA lobby for nearly a decade...

;)

The photos do look nice though.

I disagree: It was better as a great, pure, unthemed coaster with very high re-ride-ability. Screamin' was a beautiful, well-paced, unique coaster ride. Now it's junked up with obnoxious, poorly-done, half-baked story elements that aren't very entertaining and must be endured *every* *single* *time* you ride. It's not like Big Thunder, where the sets and effects are all about time, place and atmosphere. This is like being forced through an indoor/outdoor Superstar Limo each time.

Shill vloggers invited to early preview of theme park. Suprisingly they loved it. Seriously, if they say something negative they'll never be invited back.

True, but a couple of the twitter folks I follow and were there do occasionally provide negative commentary...or is it more like constructive criticism.

I know that everything is a pun and play on words, so, I'm kinda confused with "pal-a-round"... is it a play on some word or phrase I'm just not getting? I would have guessed that 'pal-a-round' was a play on 'merry go round' which is a carousel, not a a ferris wheel, which is what this ride is.

Its a play on the phrase, "pal around", which means to do something with a friend or group of friends. Its a phrase not really used anymore.

They stuck this horribly tacky sign on the walls surrounding the carousel. No concept art on the walls, no characters, nothing. Just this sign.

To be honest, this sign alone is probably more enjoyable theming than the rest of Pixar Pier. At least it's somewhat clever to theme it as an upcoming "toy" being shipped to the park. It's more creative and effortful than still figures on sticks.
