Here’s the Pixar Pal Around: (Also can anyone tell me what the swinging cars are like?)
View attachment 291530

They are pretty tame and have some mild movement a few times as the balance shifts. The stationary cars freak me out, so I always go with the swinging gondolas. The thrill level is equivalent to when the Splash Mountain log splashes into the briar patch lagoon after going up the small lift hill at the start of the ride.

I find the swinging cars relaxing, but I’ve been with grown adults who are totally fine with California Screamin look like they are going to barf while clutching onto anything they can for dear life. Must just be one of those things, go figure.

I can handle most roller coasters and spinning rides, but anything with a repetitive swinging motion will turn me green within 15 seconds.

We just confirmed our trip to DLR for July 26-30 and I'll get to check this out for myself. From what I've seen in the videos, I'm not going to love it, but I don't think I'll hate it either. My reaction right now is 'why did Disney bother with this?' 'Meh' was probably not what Disney was going for.

I think they re really at the point where they feel us fans will gobble up anything. But honestly this last overlay is kind of like the straw that broke the camels back for me ... at least when it comes to DCA. Put it this way, I definitely would not be renewing an AP for DCA only. And if it wasn’t for SWL I wouldn’t be renewing my AP. They re just really missing the mark with their last few moves at DCA and the fact that they think we ll just accept these crap changes is insulting.

So apparently, the churros at Senor Buzz will set you back $5.25.

Weird, is there anything special about them? I saw there is a 'Caliente' and a 'Cinnamon Sugar Galaxy' -- the latter of which sounds like your typical standard churro. Are these larger in size or something? I can semi-understand and upcharge on a specialty churro, but kind of confusing as to why cinnamon sugar is also more.

Beats me. IF there is nothing special about the cinnamon sugar one, its a bit odd that its similarly priced as the "special" one. Maybe its shaped like a planetary ring?

From Micechat. I kinda like this secret room at Lamplighter:

A secret room known as “The Office” is located behind a special puzzle door and is available to randomly chosen lucky parties. After solving the puzzle, complete with special effects, you’re welcomed into your own little private speakeasy.

That's pretty cool. But yeah, the AP's will be hovering to get into this room.

I hope they have set up some rules so that castmembers are not slective to friends. We know several cats members become attached to some regulars and bloggers. Having a private room could be quite the treat for those that have reservations and are celebrating something

Maybe that's the goal, to get APs to cancel their passes.... ;):p:cool:

I guess I don't really understand, beyond just having issues with them putting an overlay, why anyone would cancel their AP because of this. The rides are basically the same experiences.

Two new things learned from the new maps:
  • The area not gobbled up will now be called "Paradise Gardens Park"
  • The new spinner will be called the "Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind"

"Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind" really rolls off the tongue doesn't it? (it doesn't)

I actually like the name Paradise Gardens Park, but it might be better if it was just Paradise Gardens. May or may not sound like a Florida retirement home though.
