Ohhh THAT wall! I still never noticed but yuck.
He said it is what he wants, not that it is being explored. It was Armchair Imagineering.
I just don't see where they would find the room for a mystic manor style ride between Screamin and Carsland.
I could see them making room on the west side of the Pier with queue inside western helix and show building behind Screamin
The "Goofy" ride is another crummy overlay. Frankly, the old version was better because it was so junky and tacky. It's like an extension of Superstar Limo. The waiting line was literally a plain hallway with a bunch of road signs on the walls. Test Track built in someone's back yard? But stripping out the tackiness and putting Goofy on billboards doesn't make it a better ride. Now, it's still not presentable, but it's trying to pass itself off as something better. I see right through it.
It's a "fun enough" ride... for Six Flags but it's certainly not up to Disneys Standards. I'd love to see them remove this and the restaurant to it's left and use that Corner for a Mystic Manor type attraction! Then they can use the old maliboomer area as the queue for whatever major Pixar E-Ticket they put in that big backstage area behind screaming.
I blame the decision to re theme Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier on Shanghai. #ThanksShanghai
After the castle, the Paradise Pier skyline seems to be the second most photographed spot at the resort (just take a look at Reddit on any given day) so it'll be "interesting" to see how they go about these changes.
Just left Costco...
I would at least have Photoshopped out the tubes, which look like the things I put my home theater's cables through.
They ve never really stood out to me (good or bad) but it looks like they could use a paint job.
Man are they uuuuuuuugly!
Hopefully we get a little more than just frshly painted tubes when this re-opens as Dash's Coaster. Close those puppies up and give us some projection effects!
Yes and let's hope it's not an ugly paint job.
Ugh..."Dash's Coaster." Everything about this makeover just sounds so awkward and unimaginative.
No possible confusion when this reopens the same summer as Slinky Dog Dash Coaster?
The most logical new name would seem to be "The Incredible Coaster" with the i symbol in the loop
If that's the case I could see them repainting the tubes orange and yellow. God I hope this is far more than just a paint job. We better ****ing get that updated enclosed queue
They should add a light package that races around the track with the coaster trains like the one Hang Time is getting down the road at Knotts.
If the rumored layoffs and cut backs at P&R are true (to prop up the appearance of quarterly earnings reports) as being discussed in the WDW Rumors section. And if the Board and other big decision makers are both unhappy with how Avatar and Guardians of the Hollywood Hotel failed to drive front gate demand this summer.....then it would seem cheap slapping of new signs on old carnival rides MIGHT be canceled? Especially since it seems so poorly convinced and ill planned (are there even plans really)
To be totally honest - this is just my wishful thinking and dreaming only. I have no 'insider info" at all.
