It is amazing what new paint and a few decorations to a building does. It doesn't look to bad, it is not as bland as the previous building. The problem i see is that they didn't address one of the biggest issues. This building location is probably one of the worst for an ice cream stand. The structure faces the sun directly most of the day and has little to no shade for the cast member standing by the windows and has no shade for those waiting for an icecream cone.

Maybe they do it on purpose so that you get hot and buy more but it really is a terrible location. Why not take the opportunity to expand the location with a nicely themed gazebo that could have a few dessert tables and chairs. At the same time add a couple potted plants and maybe tree to give it some green space. They can easily accomplish this without giving up any bridge space.
there is a plot of land right next to this small building that has trees.

and these temporary umbrellas and queues for these odv annoy me for some reason. Who in there right mind decided to add those ropes in the middle of the bridge when they could have guests line up against the ugly brown wall.

Also if you are going to have ugly umbrellas that people trip over, why not just build something a bit more permanent

Ummm...wait, so this place is still only selling soft-serve and soda? No snow cones?

Considering that's what the whole joke was in the movie, this seems like a major missed opportunity. Not to mention that snow cones (or shave ice, or snow, or whatever the kids are calling it these days) is actually kinda trendy, and could easily be DLR's next viral food hit. Just check out this Instagram-ready shave ice they've been selling for years at Aulani...

Good news, there's plenty more where that came from! Pixar Pier will be right up your alley!

The same notion why Anger is getting a hot dog stand when all he ever talked about was pizza.

Disney doesn't know or care about the source material. All they care about is the majority of the project meeting its due date.
