Supposedly if popularity is separate from wait times, then perhaps rider capacity, reliability, Fastpass has absolutely nothing to do with it as well. Then popularity is a separate statistic.

But we are talking about rides and people’s willingness to ride it.

If a broken ride is an issue, no one would care if they couldn’t ride it. Then why would people routinely wait hours to go on it?

Ohh duh me, my bad. You're point is that the higher wait people are willing to endure, the more popular a ride? I see your view. I don't necessarily know if that's how management views it but their definition of popularity varies from ours.

We haven't reached the one year point yet. Once DCA starts to stabilize with all these new changes I wouldn't be surprised if M:B waits averaged 20 - 40 mins.

Popularity is completely seperate from wait times. Wait times are not accurate. You are not understanding what multiple people layed out.

All of those things have to factor in to how popular a ride is. As previously stated, Pirates is a popular ride, but its high capacity ride system and ride length have to do with the short waits. The ride can get much more guests onto it.

Mission Breakout is an attraction that is continuously closing elevator shafts for weeks because of technical issues. You can't judge the ride popularity when only one of the three shafts are operating. That isn't fair. The reason Mission Breakout is having continuously long waits is because of that reason. It is a lower capacity ride compared to Tower of Terror because of the closures of shafts.

When Mission Breakout is open with all 3 shafts running at full capacity on a moderate crowd day, it will have a 30 minute wait. Less people want to ride it than Tower of Terror, you can ask anyone, even an average guest who has only been to Disneyland a 3 times in 10 years would say that.

But you are right, the 10 others of us are all wrong.

Using your own standards, inconclusive.

Then you must accept Management’s official response that the ride is a “clear winner”.

Does this new concept art calm the fear of the Incredibles logo inside the loop?

This concept art for Lamplight Lounge feels seriously so modern, though. It's nicer than what was there, I guess, but this is just a generic hipster restaurant in LA. Can't say I dig it.

The loop logo is going to be "Pixar Pier" not the Incredibles logo. The image that showed that is older art.

Which was my entire point.
I see your fightin words without anybody on the other end. I figured out who it was when you mentioned said poster's ignorance and had to say for the millionth time that you were done with that discussion. is there a certain R2-D2 wannabe in the building? I can't tell because I already BLOCKED HIM! And in the week since, I've had so much extra time and energy that I'm wrapping up some projects 3 years in the making!

I agree with this. It's new and its one of the only E-tickets in the park. Once PP reopens and two superior Marvel E-tickets, it will be the least impressive of the thrill rides on the DCA roster. Even though I'm throwing shade at it in saying so, the silver lining is that DCA will have far more to offer in the next few years.

I dunno, trendy aesthetics aside, I'm digging the bar with the view of the pier as a backdrop.

Actually I kind of think the opposite will happen when Marvel Land opens. With more Marvel based attractions GotG:MB will gain in terms of ridership, because there will be more to do on that side of the park.

My main issue is that DCA is turning towards a demographic that i'm just not a part of. I don't care for Marvel and while I like some Pixar I don't think a studio deserves a land. Sprinkle on some cheap re-skins and lazy effects as well. Frozen and SatW were huge downgrades in my opinion, as was M:B. I don't have high hopes for Pixar Pier or Marvel Land.

This is exactly how I've been feeling about Disneyland for the last 10 years or so. It's like they've completely forgotten that not everyone who goes there is a kid under 8 or visits with one. The inclusion of Marvel and Pixar at DCA is awkward at best, but I'm grateful that it isn't all geared strictly for children like so much of the newer stuff is at the park across the way. Pixar Pier looks dumb, but I'm pretty excited about the expansion of Marvel at DCA.
