Is it too much to hope that the lights that followed the coaster around the loop would return? They were there when the park opened, and again after the 2.0 refurb, but neither time did they last long.

The loop section doesn't need to be replaced, track has a 50+ year life span. It is easily removed, as it is built like an erectror set.

Does anyone remember if they removed the loop when the Mickey ears were removed during the DCA 2.0 remodel?

Separately it is logical for the loop to need replacing at this point in the rides lifespan.

They have removed the loop before. They removed it during the first remodel and during the midway mania construction if I remember correctly

There was also lights in the scream/dryer lint tubes that would light up as the coaster went through them.

That's right, I had forgotten about those! Simple things, but they really were a nice effect.

I'm hoping they fix the coasters lighting overall. i remember when the park opened the whole coaster was lit up nicely making it one of the most spectacular views of the park even if you were just driving by. Then they built Midway Mania and did other work and half of the coaster looked dark. almost seems like they removed some of the flood lights that were where Midway mania structure was built and never thought about putting them back on the roof to keep the coasters lighting evenly.

I know they fixed some of that when they added the WOC lighting package but there was times where it still looked uneven along with all the burnt out popcorn lighting throughout the coaster

Too many. And enough times to know it wasn't always on accident.

This time they got caught quickly by the kids on Twitter, and I'm surprised it was pulled as fast as it was.
