Only time for one park?

If you only had time for just one theme park when you are at WDW, which would you do? For me, it would be a tie between either Magic Kingdom or Epcot, though I would probably ultimately pick Epcot because MK, when it comes right down to it, is really not too outrageously different than Disneyland.

For me it would be any one of them except for EPCOT. I know I'm in the minority, but EPCOT just doesn't do anything for me. Would rather spend the day at DHS than at EPCOT.

Just goes to show... "different strokes for different folks"! I only spend about half of a day in DHS, however I spend half of my trip in Epcot!

It's between MK and Epcot for me. But in the end, hands down to Epcot. It was my favorite place as a child when visiting and still is today. It's also my DH's favorite. We could ride Spaceship Earth over and over again everytime we visit - oh wait, we do!

We love all the other parks and the rides but there is just something very special about Epcot!

I would definitely choose the Magic Kingdom, unless one of the festivals was going on at Epcot, but even then, it would be hard to be at WDW and not go to the Magic Kingdom... I'd probably have to take the monorail to the TTC and visit the monorail resorts anyway, just to feel like I was actually in WDW.

This is one of the hardest decisions that I had to make. Probably Epcot because I like everything there whereas Magic Kingdom has several fails.

Without a doubt, Epcot.

Lots of great rides, and then you can grab a good dinner at the Showcase and relax with a couple of drinks and walk around the world.

End with Illuminations, the best of the nighttime shows IMHO. All-around great day!:)

I know you live right there, but I found MK and Disneyland to be extremely different. Even the versions of the same attractions are set up so differently. And it is a completely different Fantasyland.

I think it also depends on who you are with and what you are there for.

If it's me and my family (including my 10 year old), I'd pick MK always because it has the classic rides and something for everyone and will always be quintessential Disney to me.

But if I'm there with other adults, I'd probably pick Epcot. However, in saying this, I'd add that I know a lot of kids (my own included) love Epcot just as much as MK. It's just that when I'm in Epcot, I want to take it slowly and browse through the pavilions slowly, whereas my son wants to rush from ride to ride.

Definitely Epcot

We love all the Disney parks, but if I could only go to one, it would be Epcot. We love Future World and World Showcase and would get to see a lot of attractions in one day, compared to some of the lines at MK for many attractions (as opposed to fewer attractions like Soarin and TT at Epcot).

I'm a MK fan at heart, :) I always get goose bumps walking up main street. Wishes is "never missed" on our trip.

AK is a close second but DHS might take it place with the addition of Toy Story Mania
