As of last week, it did not switch over at mid-night. One of our agents did a test run to see at what time it does switch over (just curious) and it was at 3am eastern time. This is how it was when it was launched for travel agents, but once it's open to the public, it could be different.
Could be some late nights/early morning for some KK people to ensure your wonderful customers get their ADR ;):p

That's midnight Pacific Time.

I share the concern of most people here...

I have some friends that head to WDW about every other year for about 2 weeks at a shot. They actually make ADR's for lunch in every park, every day and also ADR's for dinner in every park, every day. Then, once they get down there, they just go to whatever park they feel like on any particular day and they have reservations for lunch and dinner.

This means that for a 10 day trip, they will actually use 10 lunch reservations and 10 dinner reservations. However, that also means they will no-show for 30 lunch reservations and 30 dinner reservations!

That drives me crazy and I keep trying to get them to change that behavior, but they are just stuck in that mindset.

At least I can make the choice to never travel there with them! :)

I'm a little confused :brick: We are going to WDW 10/1-10/8. Can I make my ADR's now or do I still need to wait till 90 days prior?
Thank you!

The timing on this hasnt changed, you still have to wait for your 90th day to hit. The method of making them though has been expanded, at least for TA's to include the internet as well as phone. Belle

The 90 days prior won't change, just how and possibly what time of day you can make your ADRs.

EDIT: Dang typing with toes... Marie got there before me! :(

But I still beat Richard! :sohappy:

They should keep track of the no shows and "lose" their next ADRs, the way the airline check-in attendant "lost" Elaine's luggage when she argued with him about tipping, in another Seinfeld episode.

Ha! That would be awesome!

Seriously though... I work in Software Development. It wouldn't be very complicated code to modify the reservation system so that it couldn't reserve multiple lunch or multiple dinner reservations for the same hotel confirmation number on the same day...

That doesn't address ADR's for non-disney resort guests though... That would be a bit tougher.

You are correct, but you have to be careful. What is not to say My son and I are in Epcot for 3pm TS ADR and my wife and daughter are at MK for a 3pm ADR. But a good programmer can do all that.

as for non-disney resort guest..NO ADR FOR YOU! NEXT....yet another Seinfeld

Absolutely true, and good points. Just goes to show how important requirements gathering and proper use case definition are in the Software Development Lifecycle. ...However, I digress. :)

Is the Online ADR only for people staying at a Disney resort?

From what I have seen, no. I believe that anyone can book online, assuming that they have the access to the system in the first place. I have only done WDW guests as the vast majority of my clients stay on property. Belle
