Hey all, It is absolutely true about the online reservations for agents. I have been using this for a few days now. So far it is very cool. Belle

Has anyone managed to book ADR's online, I used the following link:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/faq/dining/

and this is what it says:

"Are reservations available at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants? Yes, reservations are available-and highly recommended-at many Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. You may make reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call. It is recommended that you arrive at restaurants 5 minutes prior to your seating time. You will be seated at the next available table that can accommodate your party"

But when I clicked on that link, I get nothing???
The link currently returns you to the same page... Presumably they'll replace it with the correct URL when they go live. Whenever that is... :lookaroun

Wasn't sure if I was allowed to say it was you...

Hey there Monty, Sure not a problem. The Agent's access to the online dining is official and has been so it is fine. I think this is going to work pretty well and probably wont be any different than calling to get reservations in terms of people not showing up for them. Belle

So can you book at midnight eastern time at your 90 day mark. This is going to be just like Southwest getting that first seat.

Quite true. I do wish that Disney would go to some sort of a CC guarantee system.

Does it at least limit you from booking the same person at different restraurants for the same time period?
I am not sure. I don not have any ADR's to make until the end of the month so I have only played around with the interface, which as usual, leaves a bit to be desired. I do intend to attempt to double book just to see what happens when it is my own ADR. Hopefully it will get kicked out.

Hey let us not lose sight of the fact that we are being given a tool to assist us in planning our dining when we can and arent limited to booking reservations when they Dining reservation area is open. I think it is a good move all around. Belle

It is certainly a nice tool but my only issue was no time range, yet they have a date range. Seemed a bit backwards to me. Hopefully they will revise that in the near future.

I am just concerned that this will be abused. The ADR system is pretty abused now with people making several ADRs for different restaurants for the same time frame, leaving others out in the cold.

Canceling ressies would be a whole lot easier if you could actually get through to Disney Dining. I wanted to cancel a couple on our last trip but I was on hold so long I just left them and did a 'no show'.

I've heard that Disney is going to implement a tool that auto sends a confirm of your reservations a few days before your trip. Perhaps that will help people to remember to cancel their ressies.

If you are at the parks or in a Disney resort, you can also go to Guest Relations in that park or your in lobby concierge at the resort and cancel there as well. In most cases, in my experience, that was quicker than waiting on hold!! Belle

As of last week, it did not switch over at mid-night. One of our agents did a test run to see at what time it does switch over (just curious) and it was at 3am eastern time. This is how it was when it was launched for travel agents, but once it's open to the public, it could be different.
