OK so why can't anything ever be easy? Last night I heard gurgling from the cesspool. When they came to pump it they said the cover is cracked. We may need to replace the cover, or possibly the whole thing. It's SO MUCH FUN to spend money on unexpected things!!! I guess it could have been worse - I could have heard the gurgling at 2AM walking the dog and thought they zombies were rising...

The news has been crazy today. Every outlet wants to be first to report which is leading to stories, followed by retractions, followed by new news, etc. It's all just too hard to wrap my head around.

On the bright side, the flowers in my yard have all decided to bloom at once, so it's really pretty here today. The daffodils are actually late this year, but the forsythia is just about on time. The myrtle is a couple of weeks early though - it usually blooms for my birthday. By then, everything will be gone by.

I haven't been around much - I've been glued ot the TV. I just cannot believe everything that has happened in Boston in the past few days. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected. Just awful.

Sooo I finally got around to taking pictures of the veil, not that they came out that great. After my fiasco visit to the craft store, I decided to just use matching trim to cover the comb that attaches the veil to the hair, so it looks like this:


the sides and bottom are trimmed with the same "trimming, except that I beaded them with alternating crystals and pearls. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but it looks like this:
