Lots of wedding stuff to do today. we realized last night that we've forgotten to book the place for the rehearsal dinner, so hopefully we can still do that where we want to have it. Also, final count for the shower is due today, so I had to make calls last night to those who had not rsvp'd yet...grrrrr...., and dave still has to get measured for his tux.

Non-responders make me crazy - it's a total lack of awareness for the what the person trying to organize the event is going through!!

It's such a great time of year to be gearing up for a wedding. Very exciting!! Now no reaching for anything up high, ok?

You laugh. Originally my son and his fiancee were supposed to be here yesterday, but his work schedule changed. I had it all planned to fake a fall for April Fools, since they were here for my original foot issue. I still have the boot - thinking of making a lamp out of it.

Soooooo Southwest is having another sale - this time flights are pretty cheap through October - so I am revisiting possibly visiting my cousin in Tampa over the summer and sneaking off to WDW for one day. Just not sure I can handle picking ONLY one park!!!

I love weddings. :)

I hope we get some pics. I realize the people in your family have that genetic no-face defect, but that's okay. :D

forget the cousin and just go to WDW

Actually she usually meets us in WDW every year when we go (and texted me a picture of her in front of SSE last week) so I'm pretty sure the side trip would be an easy sell!!

Looking at flights now...making sure we have at least 2 full weekdays there in case we decide to travel...

BOOKED.

So I think the deciding "will we skip off to MK for the day" factor will be if I can get a BOG ADR for any day we will be there. Let the pixie dust decide for us!!

Yay! Congratulations!

Quick vent: I've been working on the bridal veil for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law for the past couple of weeks, off and on. I've beaded all the trim and I'm getting ready to attach it to the comb. It's really coming out soooo pretty, and I decided that I needed something to dress up the comb without it being too flashy or tacky, so I headed over to the craft store today. I brought the veil with me in a bag so I could better judge what I was looking for.
Anyway, I had to show contents of the bag when I went in, and I explained to the lady what I was there for. Well, she Ooohed and ahhed about it had to call over 2 other women to see the veil and make a big production about it. I wanted to crawl into a hole. Then one of the ladies asked me if I would make one for her daughter or grandaughter or whatever. I tried to explain to her that this was done out of love for my family, and that I have no intention of making them for strangers. Anyway, I left without even buying anything.

Yeah...you're going to need to post a picture of this veil.

People can be SO bold sometimes. You needed some advice for a personal project and they're ready to abduct you and force you into a veil-making sweatshop in the basement. It's annoying that you weren't able to find what you were looking for. I find that so frustrating when I am working on something! At any rate - at least you know the veil is going to be stunning for the bride! It's so sweet she will have something so personal to wear for the wedding.

I was just so dumb-founded that she would ask that. I'm sure it was probably meant as a compliment, but it just struck me as so out-of-line. I mean I wouldn't ask some stranger to make something for such an occasion. Maybe I'm just cranky today....
