Oh, those poor Ingalls girls...

It's a small wedding at the chapel at a camp where they both worked. I'm waiting to hear from her about how formal she wants it to be, but the dress was a great deal on line, so I ordered it anyway. I suspect it will be OK with her, but if not, I can use it for other occasions anyway. I hate dress shopping in the stores, so this was really just a stroke of luck. Shoes are going to be an issue, but I'll figure out something.
You mean you're not going to wear "The Boot?"

I sure hope not!

Unfortunately, though, there are a lot of shoes that are just too painful still to wear for any lenght of time. Easy Spirit seems to be my go-to brand now, but I have time to find something suitable.

Ecco makes some really comfortable, dressy sandals - but they're sooo expensive!

So, on a happier note, I may have found my dress for my son's wedding. It's a little less than formal, but very pretty, and I have a white shrug to wear with it. If it doesn't work for the wedding itself, we'll be hosting an informal reception later this summer, and I know it will be perfect for that.

I love it!

My son has a girlfriend. I haven't met her. I worry that I haven't met her because she's a skank. I hope that isn't the case.

My children really didn't date in HS - my daughter had her first boyfriend her junior year - post graduation, and my son took a girl to prom, and went out a couple of times. They both dated in college (my son is only a sophmore) and they only introduced us to the potential keepers. My daughter has been living with her boyfriend since summer, after dating for 3 years. He's in grad school, so I think they aren't making any official plans until he finishes, and has a job. They would like to go back to DC, where he owns a condo, and his family lives nearby.

My kids were more into hanging out in groups through high school, which worked well. Serious dating didn't start 'til college. DS actually met his fiance in an online chatroom thing the college had set up for incoming freshmen, and they've been together ever since.

3 weeks from today we leave the Currier& Ives scenery for sunny FL!

I heard on Weather Channel that the southeast is expecting a major cold snap in little under a month, stretching down into Fla. Expected to hit well below 30-degrees! Can you imagine what snow at WDW would look like?

Can you imagine what Bob Saget would look like with a black eye?
