Oh, those poor Ingalls girls...

I agree. The trauma of the situation does not need to be exacerbated by a reporter with a microphone. I'm having such trouble concentrating today. I worry what my kids are going to hear from other kids and what fears are going to surface.

If anyone could explain to me why WKMG/Local 6 Orlando sent a full crew & News anchor as well as a San Francisco reporter and how all of this is responsible journalism, I'd love to hear it....

TV Reporters are savages; moreso behind the scenes than their reprehensible actions in front of a camera.

The grandparents of one of those 20 children lives in the next town over from us, so, of course, the reporters had to hound them for an interview. It's just sooooo wrong!!!!

Christmas update:

- Gifts are wrapped - except those I ordered that I am waiting to arrive (guaranteed by 12/24!)
- I got an email from Toys R Us this morning that the lime green lava light I ordered for my daughter is no longer available. Going to have to (gulp) go to a store in search of one or find something else because now I have one less gift for her than my son (and if anyone thinks she wouldn't notice they've been eating too many of trr1's rum balls!).
- I just need a few small things for my 3 co-workers and I am DONE.
- Still not sure what we are doing for Christmas. My mother in law is being a bad word. She is mad because my father in law has a swallowing problem with the Parkinsons and needs his food pureed - so she has decided she's not making Christmas (apparently Thanksgiving was traumatic for her - since it IS all about HER). She doesn't want to come to our house either. SO not sure what we're doing.
- My husband is FINALLY getting the tree today.

Just hear those sleigh bells jingling...

We have a Christmas party to go to tonight - I'm supposed to bring a dessert, but I think I'll just hit the bakery for one. Fal-la-la-la-la!

Just sent NY Bagels to my Brother in Law in Colorado. Husband called he's on his way to the tree lot.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Yay!!!

I put together a basket of Disney goodies for my duaghter's in-laws the other day and thought it looked pretty impressive until their gift for us arrived yesterday. It's a HUGE (about 3 1/2 feet tall) tower of goodies of all kinds - makes my basket look pretty pitiful. Oh well!

Haul out the holly.....

Disney stuff is twice as expensive as regular stuff. Besides...it's the thought that counts!!

Well their thoughts are going to be "isn't that cute - wonder where the rest of it is!"

So my husband waits until this morning to start telling me his Christmas list. It's going to quickly become a "birthday list" (his is 1/25) because I'm not setting foot in any stores between now and Christmas!! Luckily most of the list is already wrapped in the closet.

My husband just goes out and buys himself something that I've already bought for him.

You know, it's like they don't realize how difficult they are to buy for, so when you come up with a great idea, they have to beat you to it. I don't get it!

My husband is actually pretty easy to buy for, since he has several hobbies. It's the cost that becomes a factor.

Yeah, that's an issue too. Every year we go through the "Don't buy me anything - our FL trip is all I need", and then he goes out and spends a bunch of money on stuff I don't need, while I come up with an idea of something he could use only to have him buy it for himself the week before Christmas. Gotta love it!
