Official Meet thread

It's Official, the Meet will be held in Dec. I know many of you will be there for the first 2 weeks and I suggest that we use the MVMCP as our main "Meet" location. We will have 2 "Meets" at the party with one being on either wed. or thurs. of the first week and on Mon. or Tues. of the second week. Just as soon as they announce the dates, we can firm this up. I strongly suggest not doing the party on the weekend because of the crowds.

I will need suggestion from all of you for other meeting places, dining suggestions if everyone would like to meet somewhere for a meal and any other ideas that you can come up with. And if anyone would like to volunteer to help out please either PM or e-mail me.

I will also need everyone who will be going to pm me with your dates and your e-mail address so that you can be contacted with important information for the Meet. It is a good idea if you would also add to this thread by telling me that you are going. If you would rather keep it private, than please PM or e-mail me with your information.

MainStreetUSA (Zac) has graciously agreed to make shirts for the affair. Thank you Zac!!
I will need everyones input on the shirts.

Please indicate in your responses on here if you would like them to be:
Long/Short Sleeve
Specific Color
A specific saying/wording

Please keep in mind that they will have WDWMagic.com Official Meet Dec. 2003 on them. And we are not allowed to have disney characters on them.

Zac will have a thread up where you can vote on the shirts that he will design. You will then order your shirts directly from him by PM. Please make sure that you include all of your information for him including size, name, address etc.

The cost for the shirts will run approx. $25 a piece. This will cover the cost of shipping also.

I have every intention of driving down for at least a day or two; I'm just waiting to see which days will have the maximum number of people. (or the people who really, really, want to meet me.

Delta is starting a new low cost airline from NY area to MCO. Tickets go on sale the 31st of March. Word out on their site is 79 each way. Finally!

Hey Kelly Shall I drive down to Howell to give you a huge hug and lots of smooches now or later??? Thanks ever so much for the info!! I will certainly be waiting with baited breath. I also think that the declaration of war( assuming it happens) will also drive down the out of control airfares!!! But if anyone sees anything like Kelly mentioneed please post or PM Me!! Thanks!! Belle - just a thought about the meeting place. Last year during MVMCP (as we swam around) we went into one of the restaurants that was serving cookies and hot chocolate that seemed pretty roomy. Previous visits also seemed to have light crowds. As you head into tomorrow land, right after you cross the bridge, the restaurant is on the right. It is before Alien and Buzz. Sorry I can't remember the name of the place, but you might want to check it out for the meet site. Just a thought.

Here are a few ideas that I have kicking around. We can "Meet" for a meal at one of the restaurants. We can also do a dessert party with and Illuminations viewing if we want. We will need to have a certain amount of people for the dessert party.
Please tell me what you all think.

We are trying for a party towards the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2. We will add more things as we go along. I will post the party dates as soon as they come out.

Thanks for the info on the Grosvenors Resort Conntom. I am sure that it will help out a lot of people. I just booked my tower room at the Contemporary. I got a really good deal (being a travel agent). I really am looking forward to meeting everyone from the boards.

I'm going to do my best to be there for whatever date/dates you pick. I'm going down in september, but I'm going to try to make a second 2 day trip for the meet.

BTW, shirts are being designed as we speak. There will be three options and I wil put up a poll.

Sounds good with the dates. The closer the dates come, the more I'll know, which I'm sure is the case with most people. I also have to try to convince my wife.

I'm also going to have to set a deadline to order shirts, so I can make them all at once. It'll be late october or early december most likely. This will give me time to make them and then send them all out before the meet.
