Yes! Those exactly! We have some from our first trip down there and I was 8. So that was 10 years ago (I'm 18 now.) so...1997? Yes. I believe it was 97. I loved those things. They were so cool! Haha. I guess that 8 year old fascination kind of stuck.

I know this is a little off topic (only a little), but I think this might tickle your fancy, if you read into it...

With such a great turn out you had this year and all the support... I don't see why you wouldn't be able to take over the World with another event and then some! Congrats Adam.

And a couple of Illuminations. The last is from the special 25th fireworks and doesn't look like a great picture, but pretty much depicts how awesome they were. The first shows the firewoks through the poles at the Italy isola. (and what the heck is an "isola", anyway???)

Hey! I had the same view of the fireworks! Through the poles! You must have been standing right next to me!

That would be my new friend Don. (Hawaiian Shirt in the pic.) He's not a member on the boards yet but man is he a die-hard fan! I told him he would fit right in. Turns out he works for Dreamworks. We exchanged emails so Im gonna keep after him about joining us here.

BTW Epcot Nut: It was so cool to meet your group - we really enjoyed talking with you guys at the dessert party. If you guys ever want to meet up at the parks let me know as I think we would all have a great time! :sohappy:

YEP that was the guy! Glad he got to me you all and hopefully get with our boards here.

We had a really great time at the dessert party and I was so glad those "seats weren't taken!" YES we do need to meet up at the parks and hang out. I can see that we are all "like-minded." I do forsee a SSE get-together in our (hopefully) near future.

Where were those taken? It's not the EPCOT Gallery. Were these (the concept art and AA Figment) part of Marty Sklar's presentation in The Land?

Those were taken at the Cast Member event at World Showplace. They had a lot of concept art, articles from EPCOT's construction and opening, an animatronic from Kitchen Kabaret, animatronic Figment, an original Dreamfinder costume, Tapestry of Nations puppets and much more.:)

Unfortunately I didn't like the way most of my photos turned out (not quite used to my new camera yet :( ) But I have a couple to share, not necessarily of the festivities themselves.

Shot of SSE during our stop at the lockers, just a minute or two left of the big day (about 11:58pm)

Wasn't that an awesome display? I had just eaten a huge lunch at France, so I didn't partake in any of the free food, but I spent a lot of time looking at all of the great stuff in the front. And I love my free shirt and pin.
