Bahahaha. This cracked me up. And it's so true...I've begun to realize he and actual reality do not seem to coincide. Must be nice to live in dreamworld all the time. I think he and Jimmy must have pixiedust parties.

Bubbles, you'll learn that there are a few people who have no common sense, use no common sense, and are only here to try to rile people up, cause arguments, and basically troll... :)

I have not read it is as often as the Marvel contract, and do not have time right now, but here is the fake contract that Universal and Warner Bros. gave to the SEC. ;)

You are so full of crap. FJ is widely regarded as one of the greatest rides ever. There is no "undercurrent of disappointment" and you know it. It just won Theme Park Insider's best attraction in the WORLD as voted on by thousands of fans. I've yet to read one person who isn't blown away by the attraction aside from the Disney fanboys.
Do not forget the two Thea Awards that Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey won as well as the two others for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

We will just have to disagree here. I am sure it succeeded beyond their most optimistic projections. However, I am not sure we have seen the inertia they were hoping for. The buzz died down rather quickly and they approved phase 2 quicker than I would have guessed.

This nothing more than your usual "I am a great thinker of the theme park industry BS." You constantly say you are thinking about something and then never state exactly what it is you are thinking. Then later just spout out about how you were so right about this or that, even if it is a contradiction of what you spouting off about earlier.

Laughable spin. There were people here who thought FJ would cause IoA to surpass the MK in numbers. Get back to me when that happens and you will have my attention.
Do please show where somebody said that. The search features are working better than ever now, so it should be easy.

I don't recall anyone saying IOA would surpass MK, but I do recall some people thinking IOA may challenge DAK and DHS... And the park is only 2 million guests away from being on their attendance level... But MK??? I don't recall that...

On top of that, its not even possible for IOA to surpass MK in attendance due to the size differences between the parks. MK's capacity is like 70,000 people where IOA is under 50,000 (relative guesses, but something like that), unless MK had a severe drop in attendance

But you can't really compare the two, I don't think.
RSR is a visual wonder, but you could build nearly 3 FJs for what it cost, no? Imagine what Uni could have done with $350mil.
I think we're going to find out soon enough what Universal can do with $350 million.

I don't think the budget is quite that high, and will also be for a mini-land.
WDI spent that on RSR alone. Wonder how long it'll take to earn that back...

Wouldn't it have to be close to that for the entire WWoHP 2 project? I mean the Hogwarts Express is a pretty big undertaking, and Whylightbulb seems to imply it's a major attraction. Add in Gringotts, which I would assume will be just as impressive as Forbidden Journey, and the rest of the land and you have to reach 350. I mean, the last one was only 200 something and there was a lot of re purposing done and only one new ride built.

I don't know what it cost, but the videos of RSR are AMAZING. I'm sure the budget was bloated, but I'm glad it was spent!!

Exactly. If capacity is 50,000 for IOA (and it may be 45,000 I thought I read somewhere), IOA would have to reach capacity every day for 365 just to hit 18 million... Even Disney's parks don't reach capacity every day, maybe a handful of days through the year... So anyone saying MK attendance was being either dumb or over exaggerating. Just got to learnt o take what jt says and ignore it. His posts are never in the realm of reality anyway LOL.

Is it my imagination or is a benefit of the upgrade not seeing people on the ignore list at all, including quotes of their posts? Amazing

as an actual PR guy, may i ask who benefits from the "laughable spin" you're accusing others of? seriously, i actually don't understand. this might be the most overused word for conspiracy theorists who have nothing to prove their pretty far-fetched viewpoints. it infuriates me. "oh yeah! that's just spin LOL!" who are they spinning for? are there just a lot of universal publicists that hang out in WDW forums?

to me, it would seem that defying what seem to be pretty hard, stone cold facts and using ACTUAL talking points that disney has used in public before (aka "the rising tide lifts all ships" theory) is more spin than anything else mentioned in this thread.
