It also strikes me as odd that a ride that is going to take place during the timeline of the movie would be called "ever after."

The ride, somewhat weirdly, doesn't take place during the timeline of the movie. Not sure how they've planned to justify Elsa singing Let It Go within the attraction, but the story of the ride states that it does take place after the events of the film.

The Royal Sumerhaus will have several rooms, I believe 3? So that should keep the lines down, Anna and Elsa's lines haven't been as long at PFTH recently and they only have two rooms.

I believe he is Sami. Which would make thematic sense for Frozen.

Correct! He is Sami! The little man is "Kristof", and he's holding a saw and ice pickaxe (?) like in the movie. Goes with the name on the sign "Kjølelager" = cold storage AKA. Frozen

A few weeks before the official opening, I'm guessing if this attraction has any soft openings it will be maybe a few days before the 21st.

Two in a park with not enough to do for this target customer and oh my lines are going to be long to see the ice princess.
Soft Opens are currently slated to start on 6/17.

"Light My Candle" (in RENT) is sung by Mimi and Idina Menzel (who voices Elsa) never played the roll of Mimi in RENT (only Maureen)... if she were to be singing a song from RENT, wouldn't "Over the Moon?" be much more appropriate?
