Trip Report No Bug Movie...promise! *COMPLETED*

It is with great excitement I sit here in the Atlanta airport, Disney bound with my middle child. While this is my 5th WDW trip this year (I *may* have an addiction problem...) my DS (henceforth known as Drumr) has not been to the world in 3 years...before MagicBands! Don't feel too sorry for him...his first trip was at age 2 and he has been numerous times since. (Warning to parents of young kids...be careful what traditions you start!)

While I was waiting in line for my free wine glass, Drumr went to the Craft Beer station in the Odyssey. I found him enjoying the Florida Harvest Beer Flight ~ Keybilly Island Ale, Blueberry Vanilla Wheat Ale, Pumpkin Ale and Honey Cream Ale.

Really enjoyed all the animal photos from AK!! Those were great. (And I agree--the best shopping in the parks is in the AK park.) I was amazed that you were able to get even a distance photo of the cheetahs--they are very elusive. I think they're incredible animals; they can run up to a top speed of 75 miles per hour! Oh, the picture of the lion was really cool, too, and that was a perfect photo of the silverback--he looked like he was posing, just for you! :joyfull:

We had our Disney Visa meet and greet with Mickey and Goofy. We continued to the Land and there was not a single soul in line for Living With The Land, so we got to sit in the front of a boat. We enjoyed seeing all the seasonal plants...love how they rotate the crops around.

It was time for FP #2, Mission:Space. Since I do not ride this attraction (though I did try the green side once), I sent Drumr on his way and relaxed in Sunshine Seasons.

He met me in front of the Land when he was done and we went to the Living Seas to find Nemo and interact with Crush. FP #3 was Figment, and yes we needed that FP (hard to believe, right?!)

It was finally time to start eating and drinking 'round the world. We began at the Wine Studio with a glass of Pinot Grigio and Malbec.

Remember those clouds I mentioned earlier? As we continued our walk around World Showcase, they grew heavy with rain and suddenly it began to pour. We had just arrived at Germany and ducked under a tree until we could open our umbrellas. It began to rain sideways, rendering our umbrellas useless, so we ran towards a gift store (throughly soaking our socks and athletic shoes in the huge puddles which had quickly accumulated.)

"And the rain rain rain came down down down..." for an hour! Drumr grew impatient in the store, as he was looking forward to trying the Brewer's Collection beer flight. He decided to go for it in spite of the rain.

The German IPA was his favorite.

When the monsoon lightened to a sprinkle, we resumed our trek. We bypassed Italy. Drumr had several beers he wanted to try in America. I parked myself on a bench under cover while he sampled three different varieties. David Cook was playing in the American Garden Theater and I enjoyed listening.
