OK I am into hibachi but remember the idea here is to be able to have a large number of people chatting with each other. Can we get a count of the number of people who would want to attend each meet?? Belle

That's near the Kmart on st. georges ave, right?
I live by 4 and 5 school and the avenel train station.
And the church, that I can't remember the name of the saint right now.
St. Andrews, I think.

:) that's neat, I know where that is, we used to live on the other side of the tracks in the university section, we thought it was nice until the landlord turned into a jerk. And I agree with bell we need to make sure that where ever we go can hold a fare amount of people, we could be looking at at least a dozen people or more so the place has to accomidate large hords of ( in some instances fanatical) people. But from our stand point we're normal, at least I think that I am. SPIDERS, WHY DO I SEE SPIDERS ALL OVER ME!!!:D

:sohappy: :sohappy: :D I can't believe that we are doing this but, the DW and I just booked a special on travelocity, for 4 days in WDW,!!!!!!!!!!! in three weeks, one, first time in August, yea I know HOT HOT HOT!!!!, and crowded, but were going. It will be, or we hope it will be a surprise for our sons, as well as a wedding anniversary celebration for us (16 years). Now the one problem is to keep it a secret from them and keep from going nuts ourselves with anticipation. We look at each other and shake our heads and say, I can't believe we're doing this!!! And for those of you who are envious as Opus would say, "THIIIPPPTTTT!!" LOL, sorry had to do that, we'll try to get some pic's and info to post, all I need to do is figure out how do it here. My wife is going NUTS, we have so much to do in a short time, it's ridiculous, someone to watch the house and dogs, and my garden, which by the way my cucumbers are set up just like the land, and I need a step stool to reach the top, about ten feet. God I'm rambling, we're going, we"re going:slurp:

:) thanks,:hammer: but here's a stupid question, do you know if we can get a DVC discount on park hopper tickets? This will let us know if we can afford park tickets for the whole time we are there. Or we leave one day where we stay away from the parks, yea I know there's DTD, but there's only so much you can do there with a 11 and 9 year old. Any help, please, Buelher, Buelher!

:D :sohappy: :D :sohappy: we're going we're going!!!!!!

First off the Glassboro Summit...see:
http://www.lbjlib.utexas.edu/johnson/archives.hom/diary/1967/670625.asp

As for your August trip...don't expect it to be as bad as you might think. Our first summer trip was a last minute getaway with just my wife and I as all three kids were away at camp. It was surprisingly managable. We just got back from a July trip (all 5 of us) and there are just a few easy tips to making it very enjoyable.

1) Hopefully you are morning people. If you get to the parks at opening, you can do all the E tickets without wait for the first two hours or so (three hours with morning EMH). Then get fast passes to cover some other items for early afternoon.
2) Preferred Seating/reservations for most dinners...do that now. If there are specific locations you are interested in, get it firmed up so you don't have to worry later.
3) Fastpasses. Look for next fastpass available time and you can get them even before you use a current one. Also, for shows that offer FP like Lights, Camera... you can get them independent of ride FP.
4) At MK do Fantasyland first as once it fills, it stays that way all day. In Epcot, while Soarin' and TT remain full, Living Seas (with Crush) is less crowded in the PM, as is SSE and other places. Countries are pretty empty until mid afternoon.

I dont believe there is a discount for Park hopper type of tickets but I know there is a sizeable discount for annual passes. Might be worth looking into as I believe it is like $100.00 off per person!!!! Belle

:D Oh well, my wife found a web page where we can get a better price than the disney store, so we'll go thru there, right now I can't remember the name, but they can get us the tic's to us thru priorty mail, just hope ME gets the tags to us in time, this will be really good. My DW told me she told our eldest son that she was going to have some one to come into my job dressed as mickey to sing to me for our anniversary, hopefully that will keep him from getting any idea of what we're up to.:fork:

Hey there all!! Can I get a head count of people who are interested in coming to the North Jersey meet?? I dont need to reserve anything, nor is there any monetary outlay. There is no cover charge for Sweet Maggie's. The only cost associated would be any drinks or food you may order. Let me know if you are interested!!! You can either post here or PM me!!!! Belle

:) I'm sure my wife and I would like to go to almost any of the meets but we need to find a place to do this, we've got an applebee's in linden, and a tgi fridays in iselin, I'd have to look around for others.
still haven't got an answer for glassboro college

Hey if it's OK, I'd be up for a central Jersey meet around there as well! There's also Champps at Menlo Park Mall in Edison (right off Parway and Rt. 1),
an Applebees in either Woodbridge or Watchnug (off Rt. 22)

:)

Id certainly be willing to go to Champps in Menlo. I know exactly where that is. I thought Applebee's was pretty terrible the last time I was there, but if that is what all the Central NJ people want I will go along with that!!! Craig & Lisa & AKQ choose a date that works for you so we can start building towards that. The only weekends that I am unavailable are Sept 16-18th, Oct 1-8th, & December 10-15th. Everything else is open. Belle
