Don't these threads normally get started quicker? Anyway, post your picks here and while we're at it, let's make it interesting. Since we're a competitive bunch, let's see who does the best picking the playoffs.

Here's how the points will be distributed:

Wild Card game correct: 1 pt
Divisional game partially correct (winner, not loser): 1.5 pts.
Divisional game completely correct (winner AND loser): 2 pts.
Conference championship partially correct: 3.5 pts.
Conference championship completely correct: 4 pts.
Super Bowl XL partially correct: 5 pts.
Super Bowl XL completely correct: 6 pts.
Bonus -- Super Bowl MVP correct: 2 pts.

(Remember, the lowest seed plays the highest seed in each conference each round.)

CAPTAIN HOOK, are you a transplanted American, or are there really people in the U.K. who understand that football doesn't involve a round sphere and two nets? :animwink:

As a general reminder, anyone who wants to play should have their picks in before the first game (Washington @ Tampa Bay) kicks off at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday. Also, anyone can edit their picks up to that point.

Just a reminder bump.

The playoffs start about 26 hours from now. If you want to play, go ahead and get your picks in. We've got 7 people playing so far, but I know there are more football fans around here.

Hey, I just wanted to point out that your second-round AFC matchups are off. If Pittsburgh wins in the first round, they would play Indianapolis, leaving the JAX/NE winner going to Denver. I'd hate to see you lose a chance to do well in the contest because of that.

True, dat. I forgot Pitt was the larger number seed (since EVerybody knows the Jaguars are the worst team ever to make it into the playoffs in the history of organized football!  ) I'll fix it.

Heh...I live about an hour north of Jacksonville, so they get a little more respect from the media in these parts.

I think I need to make that my signature. One of the best quotes EVER!

Woody's dream stays alive . . . for now! Haunted Pirate also picks up a point, but nobody else had the skins. Right?

My picks aren't predictions as much as "what I'd like to see," but you all figured that out already, I'm sure.

Where were our Philly fans in this? You don't play if your team isn't in the party? :razzberry:
