Wow. The Jets took Geno Smith. An even bigger circus going on New York now! Sanchez, Tebow and now Geno?? I expect Tebow to move on.

@Dad 2 M & M , I wasn't a fan of taking Lacy in the first round, but am excited we took him in the second round! A little disappointed that we didn't get Montee Ball, but I think Lacy will be a better option for us in the long run (no pun intended).

Definitely a good fit and a great value that late....

Falcons take two corners and now have to wait until the 4th round to draft again. Speculation around these parts is Matt Ryan will sign a long term deal and by doing so, the Falcons will reduce his cap hit. With the savings they are to bring back John Abraham......still need at least one linebacker and one OL......

Any chance he gets Aaron Rodgers money? :D

But the Packers still need an OL or two, and a safety. I love where we're going in this draft so far, though.

Meanwhile in Packers Nation, we traded a bunch of picks. Surprise! :p We have 10 picks in the 4-7th rounds tomorrow. Gonna be a busy day in Green Bay!

Woohoo Bjoern Werner for the Colts. Just what I said in my earlier post. I was hoping for a rush LB. The Colts are going to use him in the Hybrid 3-4 Pagano will run like they did with Freeney and Mathis last year. Good pick for the Colts as Werner before the combine was listed on many draft boards as top 5. He slipped a little due to speed but as Pagano and GM Grigson said this guy just makes plays.

This would be his 3rd team in 4 seasons if he moves on. Not sure how stable his future is gonna be in the NFL.

He has so many negatives to go along with his few positives.

Positives
- Able to extend a play
- Can run

Negatives
- Brings unwanted media attention
- Takes salary cap space
- Is as good as a 3rd string passer, if that
- Can't play any other positions
- Can't play special teams

Tebow is a distraction, not an NFL QB.

This is so crazy, on the way to Chicago today I was having a conversation about the name Redskins. I realized how inappropriate it may be, and how I never noticed it before.

After doing slight "research" I found this.

Even being part Native american, it never bothered me. But then there's nothing wrong with Cleveland Indians? Alas, we must be politically correct. That's why they now call it sitting criss-cross-applesauce instead of Indian style.

My relatives would be mad if they had to buy all new gear, though.

My guess is nothing will really come from this, as there have been talks on and off about changing it for years. I don't know if it's just media speculation or something that could actually happen. I've learned not to trust the media, especially when it comes to sports. Franchises don't give out info very easily.

True true. That, and they're trying to give us something to read. I've figured that out from being in Journalism for two years now.
