Can you say Eddie Lacy brotha?

For the Pack? Probably not. I don't see our GM taking a RB in the first round. With RBs you can get the same or very similar production in the 3rd and 4th rounds, and I think he sees that. Plus, Lacy has had iffy scouting reports after not participating at the combine or pro day.

I feel like I've had this conversation on here before. Maybe it was somewhere else. I can't really keep track anymore. :p

I heard reports saying the Falcons wanted to trade up for Eifert, though. Could just be pre-draft mumbo jumbo, though.

heard a bunch of crazy rumors today; some had us jumping up to #3 in a trade with the Raiders.....We have 11 picks (4 in the 7th round) and I can't see keeping that many.....

BTW, Dee Millner and B Mingo were two of the 3 players we were supposed to trade up for....both are off the board now....

I've been very surprised by this draft. Not that I was expecting it to be a predictable draft. But EJ Manuel at the first QB? Really?

And Jarvis Jones drops all the way down to Pittsburgh.....

That one doesn't surprise me. He had so many injury questions. But I guess you probably value him more highly that others. You know, Georgia and all. :p Don't worry, I value Montee Ball higher than what most people think.

I am not surprised at all by the Packers' pick. I actually predicted the pick in a mock draft on a Packers new site a couple night ago. Datone Jones, hope he can be a faster pass rusher/run stopping D-lineman.

The NFL is receiving much better ratings in it's offseason than MLB gets during the playoffs. Lol.

How does football do it? Or is baseball just a dying breed?
(Not gonna lie, I'm finding today's NFL draft much more exciting than any current MLB game).

Baseball is still early in its season. When the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup playoffs are done with, baseball with get its attention. Baseball has a 162 games in a season so a lot can happen from now until October. Football still is the number one sport in USA and I think it will be for a while. It's purely American and with millions of fans participating in fantasy leagues as well as supporting their home team, it has a large fanbase.

btw, Te'o, Geno Smith and Eddie Lacy still on the board which was surprising. Those three should be second rounders for sure. As for my G-men, I'm on the fence with Justin Pugh. A lot of people criticized the GM for making the move saying they should've taken this player or that player. But if all the experts are saying he's a utility offensive lineman that can play anywhere, it's not so much of a wasted pick in my book. Nevertheless, a lot of help is needed on the defense. A cornerback, linebacker and maybe even a defensive end is what the Giants need right now.

Aaron Rodgers is now the highest paid player in NFL history. He signed a 5-year, $110 million contract within the past half hour. I'm a happy camper!

It's reported that he will earn $40 MILLION in the first year of his contract. If there's one team that knows how to manage the salary cap, it's the Packers. I have faith in management. They won't put us in a losing position.
