Right to work affects CM quality because Disney is forced by law to hire people regardless of whether or not they are optimal for the job. Trust me, some of the CM's I have worked around have caused me to wonder how they put their shoes on in the morning. I'm not saying right to work is bad by any means, but it can potentially cause unwanted results in a customer service position.
I understand Right to Work to mean that, as a potential employee in a organized workplace, you are not required to join the union nor pay union dues as a condition of employment in a organized workplace.

Is the Pan queue definitely out? I thought they closed the bathrooms next to Peter Pan and walled them off. What are they building there?
If anything for the Pan queue is planned, it won't be part of the upcoming refurb. I believe the area is currently being used for the Pan/Wendy M&G that was previously in Adventureland.

@Figment2005 Above is the answer you are looking for.

Employers who do not select the most capable and qualified employees for their company are often not successful for very long. I for one, spend many hours considering my customer's needs. I then write down an outline of the traits an employee should possess to fulfill those needs. Finally, I hire the person who reflects those traits. I live in a "Right to Work" state.

I would consider it irresponsible to hire the wrong person because it puts a warm body in a position.

Which is ironic considering WDI designed a Children's museum before in Baltimore's Port Discovery.
WDI designed Port Discovery? Did not know that. However, I will say that the Egypt archaeology room always reminded me of something that you might find in Disney based on how well executed it is.

I wouldn't mind it they went with a M&G there for now (would love to see Hook and Smee rotated in at times as well) but left the area mostly undeveloped. That might actually leave open the possibility of having that space be added to the ride for a large scale update/addition/refurb at some point in the future.

So what's the likelihood that, with the apparent high maintenance costs associated with the Mansion Next-Gen queue and the lack of support for it, Disney's going to quietly close off that area and restore the main queue?

There are actually 3 mist screens in Forbidden Journey, although one is more of a mist curtain. The mist curtain is on the far right of your ride vehicle right after you encounter Harmione the 2nd time. It is there to block the view of the ride vehicle in front of you as it encounters the Whomping Willow. The 2nd mist screen is on the left right after you see the head of the Basilisk skeleton. On it is projected The Dark Mark. The 3rd mist screen, as mentioned above, is right after the Soul Sucking Dementor. It has your face on it if all goes well. The key is you have to be looking straight forward when the ride photo is taken earlier in the ride for the facial recognition software to key on your face. If you are looking to the side it will miss it and display a skull instead.

After some thinking I believe you are right. I apologize for misinterpreting what right to work means. The rest of my post still stands though.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Even better, I just stepped off of PotC after it opened again from a temporary closure. The work lights are all on. When I asked a cast member, I was told they decided to leave them on because of whatever caused the earlier closure.
What time did PotC re-open?
We waited for more than an hour (hovered nearby, did Pirate's Adventure and CBJ) and finally had to go to our lunch ressie at LTT.
We never did make it back that way.
Any idea what the issue was?

Could do.
The units are apparently reasonably mobile.

I wish there was room to drop them off in a little area after unload, but I don't think there's room.
I honestly wouldn't mind them, thematically, if you encountered them after the ride.

Out of all the rides that dump out into a gift shop, I. Kinda wish HM had its own dead....icated gift shop.

I met the interactive que in May. Cute, not but really impressed. Didn't like being stuck next to the kid who kept hitting every single noise maker while waiting for the line to move. Kinda wanted to hit him.

I'm not sure that's what "right to work" typically means.

Agreed. That isn't even close to what right to work means. Right to work states essentially means that employees have very difficult times joining unions and businesses have far greater leeway over how they treat employees and what the state requires of them as an employer.

Right to work doesn't mean that everyone literally has a right to work for any business no matter how under qualified.

Disney has many lousy Cast Members because they are bringing unskilled labor from many third world nations to cut staffing costs.

That is my understanding as well. You will likely be required to pay the portion of union dues attributed to collective bargaining on your behalf and the union must provide the employer with the correct "right to work" amount for withholding from paychecks.

Pirates queue is equally insane. Switchbacks outside constantly?

HM line outside the gate... Always???

Next Gen queueing sucks hardcore. Lines that were never more than 10 minutes are becoming 20+ minutes regularly.

NextGen is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Ordinarily, I'd tell you that I wouldn't FastPass Haunted Mansion. Between the longer wait and the interactive queue which totally does not exist, an FP+ is now a reasonable proposition in my eyes.

Over at MiceChat's Long Forgotten Haunted Mansion thread, Passport2Dreams's FoxxFurr had this to say about interactive queues.

Why am I not surprised, the carrot for the MyMagicMinus system has been pulled leaving only the stick, Yesterday I chopped 4 days off planned 8 day holiday trip because Mannheim Steamroller is coming to town and family wants to see THAT show more than deal with MouseArrest and MyMagicMinus, But we still want to see Osborne Lights one last time before TDO shuts that down.
