FitS was at MK. There were several versions prior to 2003. Possibly due to lack of narration they neither featured wishes nor dreams.Nope, my first visit was 2001 so I've never seen fireworks at MGM/DHS other than Fantasmic.

It had an intro about Tinkerbell but that was it.Sorry, my confusion then with Sourcery in the Sky at MGM. I must have seen FitS once in 2001 then, but for some reason I remember it having some narration. Wishes must have wiped it into my memory.

Here's an embarrassingly old edit of it:
I'm not poo-pooing the new show, but saying that I want to see a fireworks show that isn't solely based on one IP by the time SWL opens.
No offense to Universal, but they've never been known for their nighttime "spectaculars".I can understand, but I just think that having a single IP show is fine as long as the park has other large scale entertainment themed to other IPs (as it does in this case with Fantasmic!). I think Star Wars in particular is well suited for a fireworks/multi-media show but wouldn't meld well with other Disney IP.
Sure, they go do a generic "different movies" show that includes SW but as you can see at Universal, such shows don't always flow very well.
I would love to see them feature a Villains night time show in the F! theatre. IMHO the best parts of F! are the nightmare parts with the villains. I usually bail when they start with the "happy ending" part.No offense to Universal, but they've never been known for their nighttime "spectaculars".
Which part? Sir Elton John singing? (Disneyland Forever) Or the concert?I think we just saw a sample of the next generation Star Wars fireworks during the Disneyland special. It featured projections, lasers, and other special effects.

The parade at Universal Orlando was pretty forgettable. At least the nighttime parade called Magical Starlight at Universal Studios Japan is better and more fun to look at... also Elmo,Snoopy and Hello Kitty are in it.......or 'parades' , for that matter....Nothing gives you goosebumps more than a float dedicated to that blockbuster, 'HOP' !!
so what about the Center Stage?? Won't the projections hit that and cause images on the poles and not on the buildings seeing there is a new stage show as well?
I pointed out a couple pages back that there is clearly no stage structure (of the sort we're used to from recent years) in the photos, you can clearly see the trees on either side of the little stage area that's there now. So I'd say that either the new show will either rely on what there, perhaps with additional lighting rigs around the perimeter of the plaza, or they use a mobile stage like the old High School Musical stuff.
And another point, looking at the aerials for the park, I'd guess that projectors most likely will go on top of Superstar Theater (or whatever they're calling it now) and perhaps the old Catwalk Bar lobby area will get a few bright, new occupants... I'm thinking they may also have to put projectors somewhere inside the Theater's courtyard, too.

"Summer." Your guess is as good as mine as to what that means to Disney this year. Sometime between mid-May and mid-September, I'm sure. Probably by July 1.When is this supposed to start in the park?
