New Star Wars Fireworks Show - 'Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular'

I really don't think there is much that can be done to make it look intentional. Whenever there are fireworks behind a central object, people are always expecting it to line-up.

Interesting that they don't show any close-up low-level pyro other than the flames. Wonder if we are losing those.
While I enjoyed the low level pyro, the smoke it created made the shows unenjoyable at times because of how cloudy it gets. That may be a reason for changing to fire and projection in the foreground.

It also lends itself to fireworks and special effects set to outstanding score.
I'm hoping eventually that DHS will get a true fireworks show - meaning one not focused on a sole property.

Hopefully once the redo is over, they can combine everything that encompasses DHS and makes it what it is (SW, TS, TOT, Old Hollywood, Frozen, Pixar, Indy, etc, etc) and turn it into one gigantic, badass pyro/effects show.

Agree whole-heartedly. For now, Star Wars is the in thing and a smart way to keep people in a half-empty park.

Unlike the Magic Kingdom fireworks which always seem to feature wishes or dreams. They might as well be a single property...
I'm just saying, long term you can't just focus on one IP for fireworks. Not everyone loves SW and other properties deserve to be represented.

You can, particularly this IP at this park.

I don't know what the long-term thinking is but, with Star Wars being as incredibly popular as it is and expanding its reach and presence both in film and at the theme parks in the coming years, I could easily see this being a long-term addition.

I don't think I necessarily agree. Star Wars is very well set up to be the theme of a high quality fireworks show and with new movies every year, there will be opportunities to keep it "fresh" with that basic theme.

The important thing for balance is that there would be other large scale shows with different themes in the park. Fantasmic! is already present and celebrates a bunch of Disney films and characters. I would propose that if they brought back a daytime parade centered on Pixar properties that it would be a great balance and would be fine to keep Star Wars fireworks.

I think the more extraneous "overdoing" of Star Wars would be the procession, the center stage show and Launch Bay. And those are all things that I would expect to go away by the time Star Wars land opens. Star Wars land + SW fireworks doesn't seem to me to be "too much" presence for that popular IP and wouldn't really be that great a percentage of the park once TSL and "Phase 3" opens.

I'm not poo-pooing the new show, but saying that I want to see a fireworks show that isn't solely based on one IP by the time SWL opens.

The new show looks to be great though from the concept art/description.
