Really hoping this hits around mid-May. I have a trip planned from May 20th to Memorial Day and would love to experience it.

Photo update as of Tuesday, April 26. The two tower structures for the projectors to be used in the upcoming 'Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular' show are under construction. Located in the central hub on either side of the main pathway to the Chinese Theatre, they are imposing structures. They will likely be art-deco themed to match Hollywood Blvd. Here are several views, to give you an idea of their size, as well as location in the center hub of the park.

In the first photo, viewed as you approach the Chinese Theatre, the two red ovals outline the locations, partially hidden by trees.

These are the "back side" of the towers. The projectors will face the Theatre of course.

The elevated openings for the projectors.

The tree in front of this tower projector will probably have to go. The Star Wars Fireworks Dessert Party location is to the right of the below photo.

Finally, a view behind the construction wall of the west tower, showing the "ground level" control room for the stage.

Looks almost as good as the ones in Animal Kingdom. I wonder how they'll theme this.

I hope this will be the unexpected suprise of Disneys new offerings.

We were having a decent day in DHS back in June 2015. Until evening. Then we went on ToT in the dark, watched Fantasmic and the Star Wars Fireworks, and DHS ended up being a highlight, somehow, or our Disney experience.

A great night show can be the highlight of a day is my point I guess. Star Wars is emotive and engraved in enough people's psyche that a well done show could be spectacular, and a perfect addition next to Fantasmic.

Can anyone work some computer magic for me and show an overhead/aerial view of where the two towers are? I'm curious to know where they are in relation to the face of the former giant Hidden Mickey that was there.

They are very close to the dedication plaque if you are familiar with that.
