EPCOT New Play Pavilion to replace Epcot's Wonders of Life

I remember reading that some permits have been filed for a few installations inside. Chapek was saying that they planned for it to open for the 50th at D23 last year (though that’s likely delayed a bit now.) I wonder if it will be full steam ahead or if Disney wants to delay opening until EPCOT’s 40th?

I feel like this is an easier project to get off the ground and would be a great thing to market for the 50th. I’d be shocked if this isn’t open in 12-14 months.

I'm excited for this, still disappointed they didn't go with the idea floating around to restore Wonders of Life with updates and no sponsor.
It was only a fans idea.

Well there actually was one internal proposal during the 2000’s
Before it closed? Yes.
After that was a weather pavilion. Then Marvel. Then demolition. Then more marvel. Then this.

Wow. Why am I not surprised? A weather pavilion is a somewhat neat idea followed by IP, followed by Disney saying duck it, followed by IP, followed by a water balloon fight.

Are you at liberty to discuss the Marvel plans proposed? I remember you talking about an expansion of Guardians extending into this space??

I remember after Buzzy was proven to still be in really good working order, I had wishful thinking they would at least revive Cranium Command. Deep down I knew it was never happening though.
One was an unspecified and preferable E inside the existing building. One was a replacement building with a standup FoP ride system.

I think a weather based pavilion along with Nat Geo as sponsors (before they were purchased by Disney of course) would have been pretty cool. Definitely continuing with the original edutainment theme of EPCOT. Although it may have been seen as too similar to the Land to justify being its own pavilion. Ah well, it never left the drawing board anyway.
I wonder what kind of an E could go in this building. I remember hearing something about a Thunder Mountain like coaster but that may have just applied to the Guardians coaster next door
