Yeah, that would be like building a massive boxy show building that is visible from half the park.

Agreed - sight lines are horrible. I’m hoping trees are replanted once work is completed. There are plenty other access points from that side of the park already

The site that shall not be named has pictures of an exterior panel being removed from the WoL dome. Does anyone here know what that’s for? Repairs perhaps? Or something to do with the new projections inside? @marni1971 @Magic Feather

Probably to get the thing waterproofed for real this time. It's had leaking issues for a while.

So sad that they’re removing the skylights. I knew they wouldn’t be visible from inside anymore, but I always thought they would just be covered up from the inside and left as a remnant on the outside. Gonna be weird seeing the dome as a solid yellow.

Makes sense to lose them but still sad especially if you remember the building when it used to be alive and well.

Yep. I wonder if they did some basic waterproofing work as well when they did the painting and now the panel replacements are because some of the leaks still didn't stop.

Can someone confirm if they did waterproofing when they painted it last year?

It's still nice to see the dome getting all of this love after doing nothing for over a decade.

Just look like temp ”PVC” panels, not going to be a long term solution. Maybe removing current ones sand sky light panels for full refurb?

Still, makes me kind of sad as I love spaces that are brightly lit with natural light, even though we know based on the concept art that the interior will be projection mapped.

Maybe they’re trying to air out the EPCOT Center stench that was hiding in the darkest corners of the building attempting to escape all that IP.

There were pictures of them being pulled off of the building. They have been removed and replaced.

I know this is slightly off topic, but didn’t Martin say that the extended queue for Body Wars is staying intact since it’s not considered part of the dome facility? Trying to make some assumptions about the new layout of the building.
