Melbourne would be the ideal place for a Disney park, although Disney seems to steer clear of Australia. Only a couple of movies are based there, and there is no reference in any of their theme parks. (Epcot anyone?)

As far as the fifth theme park idea... there is no way WDW could support a 5th park. There isn't enough staff for the 4 that they already have, and there's definitely not enough on-site hotels.

Is it really worth them building a third US site if they potentially are only going to be attracting their current market anyway. I couldn't agree with you more about the point that another park in the US would hurt the other parks. And the Theme Park industry in the US right now is slipping anyways with SixFlags closing some major parks. Another major resort like the World but in Texas would take away from the uniqueness of WDW. I also think that some major work needs to be done on the World Showcase in means of attractions and MGM as a whole. Animal Kingdom could use several more rides/attractions in all views: another thrill ride, at least another 2 family rides or shows, sit down resturaunts, and a concluding show (maybe a show using technologies similar to those in Fantasmic! with little use of fireworks). As stated by a person before, MGM should be shut down and get majorly redone.

Fisher is/was a WDWMagic member that keeps insisting that Disney is building a new theme park in Texas February 5th, 2007.

He has created about 12 different names to back uip his story(all of which have just joined any only have posted once to the Disney in Texas thread !

It's been pretty obvious that these people were all one in the same person.

The original thread has now been locked and deleted by the moderators as it got a little heated.

Of the top of my head he has been LVROFDSNY, fisher, Goleer, dr.cerebro, CAMWAR and OUPioneer

I just read where Disney, (along with Universal), is building the biggest waterpark in the world in Las Vegas. Due to open in 2009 or 2010. Both indoor and outdoor. The indoor part will include a snow ski resort. One of their two hotels will incorporate a Grand Canyon theme along with, of course, a casino. More info at www.themeparks.about.com. Disney and Universal together? What's next, Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donald having twins?

Er... Vegas Wet is being promoted by Proteus Creative, with financial advice from The Chatsworth Group. Design is by Thinkwell Design and Production. The only cross-company tie-in is one of Proteus' CEOs was a consultant for DisneyQuest and Universal Japan, as a freelancer. Read it carefully and it says a group of Disney, Universal, and other park vets has wildly ambitious plans to build a $1.1 billion resort - as in people loosely connected with the companies, such as Steve Dooner, the CEO mentioned above. Talk about milking your CV for all it`s worth!

Just as a note to people excited about getting a result from googling "disney frisco," that is the location of the disney store, and nothing more, the area there is completely built out.

I am so dissapointed that there was no super bowl announcement of Disney Texas. Now, even I, am starting to believe there isn't going to be one. :brick: :(

The parks will never be complete. I think people are taking the word complete to literally. There is not enough of anything in Ak and MGM. AK is too big with not enough attractions. MGM is lacking rides except for Sunset Blv. You cant build another park until you "accomplish"(for lack of a better word) the other parks. There will never be "complete", we all know that but all the parks are not "accomplished" yet.

Excuse me? I think you, Jedimaster1227, and others are a little hasty and even belligerent in accusing anyone who has an open mind of being Fisher. You guys are bullying people on this site, and I think maybe you should be reported. What ever happened to people chatting amiably?

Hello All

Ok Ok so, the big anouncment hasn't come yet. If I were a doubter I would not believe me either. It will be anounced soon. Just for the record I'm not and have never been fisher. What I do find interesting is that anyone that has given out too many specifics gets their thread wiped out by this site. I will not give any information that would hinder Disney From completing their deal and I recommend that any us us in the know keep things very general and not too specific until the anouncement has happened.
