New Park?

Is it so hard to post an opinion and move on? Why continue this argument across forums/threads? Let the facts speak for themselves....

At the end of the day, "He who knows does not speak. He who speaks does not know", people here have a pretty good idea of who the insiders and pretenders are...so get over yourselves.

Now then...anyone else excited about Disney Bahrain? :lookaroun

Wow! The people on this board fight too much. I normally come here for news, but it's hard when a simple question thread is ruined with so much fighting. Do that through Private Messaging!

Anyway, though WDW did not confirm or even talk about a new park, I don't think the idea is too far-fetched. Think about it: Magic Kingdom opened in 1971. Epcot opened 11 years later in 1982. MGM opened 7 years later in 1989. Animal Kingdom opened 9 years later in 1998. The gap between park openings have ranged from only 7 to 11 years. It's been 9 years since the last WDW park (AK) opened, so I wouldn't be surprised if a new park was speculated! Feel free to disagree with me, but it does seem likely!

And if you have something that would completely destroy my theory, do so, but we all know a 5th park will eventually open, whether it's in 5 years or 30 years. When it happens, what do you think the theme would be?

Also, I saw the site the topic starter posted, and the pictures made me curious as well. Does anyone know where "Toy Story Live", New Nighttime Water Spectacular, or Monsters Inc. will open?

Ok, I will, and I will type it in pink as not to sound like I am fighting.

There is a big difference between the time that the other 3 parks opened at WDW and now. Its called demand ( and not the chatter on message boards from Disney fanatics like ourselves, but demand from a bottom line perspective) There is also the fact that the Walt Disney Company was not as focused at overseas parks then as they are now. Until attendance drops off due to "overcrowded" conditions, there is no need for another park at WDW.

The bickering starts when people come on here and claim they have inside information, when in reality they know jack squat, and even after they are put in their place by people who really do know what they are talking about, they continue to pass off the baseless claim as fact.

There are other exceptions obviously...monorail expansion threads come to mind.

And dont forget that they then allegedly create multiple screen names to help bolster their opinion.

So none of you are intrested in a new park? Why are you putting your two cents on this thread then? I'm sure you could start a thread involving how you know more than everyone else. Maybe a thread about how much you like to stomp on what other people like to talk about.

Interested? Sure.
If there was ANY chance that there was a new park being built, I would be all over it.
But...it ain't happening. Not in Florida in the next 10 years, and NEVER anywhere else in the US except Anaheim, CA.

Please...one of you folks, you will do aightblah, tell me where you heard the story about Disney in Texas. Had to be on the net, right? Tell me where so that I may go there and mock them.

I am sure there are some here that would like to see a new park stateside. However, the reality of that happening is almost 0%, especially since the CEO of the Disney Company is on record as stating it was not going to happen anytime soon. Further, since there is alot of work to be done on the existing parks, since attendance is just now starting to rebound from 911, and since Disney has indicated that they are more interested in properties overseas, its not realistic for people to come out and say, "There is a park going to be opened in (insert city), (insert state), and they are going to announce it on (insert date).

I personally, would like to see more developement of what is already established at WDW. Build out Animal Kingdom to what was orriginally planned. Revitalize the Disney Studios. Put another country or two into World Showcase at Epcot. Add another E-ticket to MK where the Pooh playground is. It is much more realistic to discuss these types of issues than to create threads about topics like Fisher (and clones) started.

I dare say most of the board members are interested; however most of the naysayers are well informed and trust several sources on the site; it`s these sources who are well connected; I don`t mean CMs and bus drivers, I mean Glendale and Burbank. When mostly new people don`t take a polite no for an answer, without wondering why no is no, or asking, it gets kind of tiresome.

We welcome new members with open arms (and ears). We don`t like as much those who come in as know-it-alls when it`s plainly obvious to the majority they know not a lot - and still rant on.

Toy Story Live is a live show, much like Disney on Ice. Monsters Inc. is the equivalent of Toy Story Mania and it is going to be at Tokyo Disneyland.

5th Park...sure.
But...not in Texas. Not in 5 years or 30 years.

Thought so... :D

True...

I've been lurking this thread for quite some time. Let me say this, people like the idea of a fifth park but Disney sees no need to build one because of attendance and maintenance to the others. The cost to maintain a new park plus the older four (while they are still expansions needed) would actually cost Disney more in the near future. Upkeep to the parks would be down and Disney would end up looking a little trashy.

Employees are need, and the bigger parks and the more of parks there are than the more people you need. Unemployment rates might be just a little down (as in 0.4% less) because not everybody wants to work, live or drive back and forth to Disney or Orlando. With too little employees for Disney something will have to happen. Most likely the new park would be sold off or Disney would stop all expansions all together. It is like a chain and if the chain bends it could come back and hit you in the face.

Just an opinion with some facts.

Of course I'm interested, but I don't go around saying its going to happen when it clearly isn't. I wouldn't call this thread stomping on what other people like to talk about, it's more so preventing the uneducated from educating the uneducated.
