You are mistaking Walt Disney World for Six Flags. WDW is flooded with families during Spring Break. Some have teenaged children but it's not overrun.

I'm sure you'll disagree with me and belittlingly call me hunny before you lecture me. And...go!
You say that. I know of at least 5 Texas high schools(including me) that are bringing our dance teams/bands to perform in the next 1.5 weeks.

A-not Spring Break
B-drop in the water among the 200,000 people at WDW any given day. Call me when it's 500 groups.

I've been to WDW in April and am aware of the crowd. Disney World is never overrun with teens. It has a lot in July for reasons discussed elsewhere, but even then, it's not overrun. Although it can feel like that when one group of 50 is behind you on HM.

I don't think Disney would have much motivation to open before spring break - they already get crowds for spring break. By opening after, they will increase the crowds in a slower period then spring break. Kind of the idea there.

It is our spring break in Texas ;-)

I'm curious and am going to ask our agent just how many groups they alone have next week.

Yes. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/animal-kingdom/animal-kingdom-night/
It's called Nighttime Awakenings
"After the sun sets, animal spirits within the great tree come alive and reveal themselves in mesmerizing color and light.
During the evening hours, pay special attention to the Tree of Life at the center of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. At various times, flickering fireflies magically appear and awaken the wondrous animals spirits carved into the tree’s towering trunk—bringing to light a stunning visual extravaganza swarming with vivid color and animated imagery.
Witness a graceful young doe embark on a thrilling cross-country journey. Behold love blossoming between 2 hummingbirds. See a spry fox spreading gifts of love among the denizens of a wintry forest. A feast for the eyes, each approximately 3-minute-long revelation celebrates the eternal balance and harmony that exists in all living things, big or small, and is sure to inspire and delight the entire family, big and small."

Oh Oh, "wintry forest"? You knew they had to sneak frozen in here. I can see it now, Frozen in ALL the parks - Elsa rules!

This is going to be beautiful.
AK is my favorite park as far as theming goes, and now it has it's nighttime show as well.
And, it'll be running when my family is there this May.
I'll tell you what, after visiting yetsterday, it's the only park with any real feeling left in it. I was really sad yesterday seeing all the cuts really come through. Honestly all I wanted was the fried chicken waffle sandwich from sleepy hollow or a pork shank... why on earth would they get rid of those? It was so disappointing.

Does Disney release a soundtrack for shows ahead of when they debut in the parks? I remember when the FoF parade debuted in March 2014. There were people on the boards raving about the soundtrack before it was released to the public. I just can't remember if it was made available prior to the parade debuting.

With the video Disney posted today I'm assuming that included a lot of early testing shots? The projections didn't seem very clear, and the color of the fountains didn't look as bright as WoC? Regardless it's sounding pretty awesome!
The fountains seen so far are not the same design as WoC or Dreams.

FoF still hasn't been officially released.

I thought Fantasmic was up to 10500 now with the additions a few years back that we won't mention?

I am going by this. My assumption is that the 3000 standing was replaced with 1000 seats.

http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...disney's-hollywood-studios-fantasmic-show.htm

"The location currently has capacity of 6900 seats, and 3000 standing, although the standing space is rarely used. Disney will be converting the standing areas at the rear of the amphitheater into the additional 1000 seats."

Ah. I was under the impression it was just under 10000 originally.

Wrong.

WDW internally thinks of "Spring Break" as the time from March 1 to Mid-April. The parks are packed every single day in that 6-week span and it's due to Spring Break times being spread out around the country.
I respectfully disagree. For one DVC points are over 4 times more during "spring break" -- the week of Easter -- than other times your "spring break". A much larger percentage of the country - students and employees" -- are off during the week of Easter than any other time in your spring break. There are some that are off other times, but it is a very small percentage compared.

That's DVC though.

I have firsthand experience with this having worked in theme parks for 3 years now. Spring break for tourists varies incredibly. Crowds throughout March and into April are always ridiculous.
