Allow me to ask one question: Will Project Spark (and Project Kappa, for that matter) emphasize the “global community” concept? Well, I guess one other: We know that Kappa will feature IP, but will Spark?

Honoring nations and cultures as one 'global community' is at the core of Epcot and will most definitely be a theme of both shows, albeit not the central focus of either show in their current states.

It’s on hold. It’s still a possibility but currently not expected to be needed.

If it’s like its expected to be I’d quite like to see it.

So while work can't happen with Kappa, we know there's something being built backstage based on the WW3 barges being out already. Would this construction work be for Spark or Kappa? Because it sounds like Kappa.

That’s not the only reason those barges might have been out.

Any chance that Spark is (was?) a completely pyro based show? I mean, the name alone seems to indicate a possible focus on pyro, but if there is (was) a needed time frame that would be required to do work in the water and/or with the barges that would hinder a barge based show, it would seem to make sense to have a fully pyro based show in the interim...

I doubt it. It can also refer to the "spark" that has to occur before the full "explosion" of a completely new full show can happen. Who knows? Project names are always kind of nebulous and, in many cases, only have real meaning to the insiders who come up with the names.
