We already knew that.:lookaroun

(Seriously though....I have no REAL problem with Twilight. If people like to read, that's a good thing. :) Literacy is a good thing. )
Exactly, you know my niece is 16 and would never really read a book unless she had to until twilight came out, now everytime I take her to BAM or BN with me she's like can I get a book, so thank you Stephanie Meyers!:sohappy:

That's true...a few years ago JK Rowling was credited with getting kids to pick up books again also, and now Stephanie Meyer. Her book, The Host, is actually quite different and very absorbing.
To each their own, I daresay....we all have different tastes in literature, just as in art...modern or classical, there will always be something that speaks to people. FWIW, I love classical literature as much as anyone....but I have no problem with S. Meyer either. And I really enjoyed watching New Moon yesterday. :)

They aren't hurt by stakes in the Twilight Saga...you have to rip them apart and burn the body parts...
A major reason I don't like the whole Twilight thing....they don't know the rules!
Anyhow....she wouldn't have a problem with that at all.:D

I agree about the eyes....the make up was much better than in Twilight, but they went a bit overboard on the eyes!

jaspers eyes in the school and at the birthday party where kinda overboard lol. the wigs were different aswell, maybe thats due to the budget being alot bigger for new moon than it was for twilight!

did anyone else think that the trailers and what was shown in the movie were different/kinda didnt match up?

The movie was great and we always go see movies at the first showing on Saturday .... Pirates 2 & 3, Shrek, Spidey & Dark Knight ( no Harry Potter because I hate it..) never seen so many people there at an early showing... could not hardly find a seat 30 minutes early!

Went to the movies tonight with Brenda. Saw a ton of people heading in for New Moon. We went and saw "Pirate Radio" instead. Excellent movie that I'm sure I enjoyed far more than I would have "New Moon." Unless I was listening to a RiffTrax for "New Moon," then maybe I would have enjoyed "New Moon" more. But yeah, go see "Pirate Radio," fantastic movie.

My boyfriend and I went to see Pirate Radio last night as well. It was amazing! He works on air (oh so proud radio-girlfriend, here) so he was gung-ho. I was tentative, since I'd never heard of it.. but it rocked! We had a great time.

That being said, I saw New Moon on Thursday evening.. much better than Twilight, but I will forever prefer the books. And, though I am fully Team Edward, that motorcycle scene may have swayed me for a moment or two.

I, personally, really hate when people knock these books. Just because you don't like them, it doesn't make them any less of a novel. They're a decent read, fluff, but you can't honestly say that you haven't read and enjoyed a novel that isn't 'true literature' in your lifetime. So Twilight isn't Prince and Prejudice or Rebecca. So ****ing what. Hundreds of thousands of people LOVE these books, Stephanie Meyer's obviously doing well, and you are being rude.

/end rant.

Took my daughter and her friend last night. We went to an Ultrascreen so we could have three times as big Jake and Edward. Yummy! I really enjoyed the movie.
