New monorail purple skin

seeing the new skin makes me wish the "year of a million dreams" was ending soon.

Much too cluttered. If they simplify the design and limited the number of colors then I could see the new skin working.

I don't see how this busy jumble of images compliments the "YOMD" theming elsewhere: Dreamy, Cloudlike softness, The leaves / pixie wings on the posts. Who thought this would fit?

My word, the new skin looks AWFUL. Just dreadful. I would perfer the stitch stickers on it a million times over this awful looking crap. Whoever designed that has no taste. It makes the monorails look like big floating circuses.

The Stitch castle wasn't a WDI decission...its a Marketing event and so they call the shots on things like that.

Monorail yellow is next!
While taking monorail red to shop earlier today, I parked right next to monorail yellow and noticed that it had just gotten the Year of a Million Dreams wrap, too. That being said, it might be a while before we see yellow again (and before I get to drive it and finally have driven all 12 monorails) because, as the official test train, it is being used to test out new standing room configurations. Under the alternatives that were being looked at, the stanchions in the center would be completely removed and double-wide strollers would be able to go into any car, not just the wheelchair areas. (Wheelchairs and ECVs, however, would continue to be loaded only from the current areas due to the impracticality of having a ramp by each car and a Cast Member to operate it.)

would there be something to hang onto that hangs down from the ceiling with this new center piece removed layout. If not how are you suppose to stay standing when they tell you to hang onto something in the first place?
