Or reading too much into it, they looked at it and couldn't convince themselves that there was a high enough probability that there was going to be a problem. Because of this they couldn't justify investing money to build more capacity to ensure that no problems would develop. They decided to "see what happens" and to fix any problems that develop. Akin to the unshaded queue for Slinky Dog, the general lack of shade in TSL, and the lack of seating and shade for Andy's Lunchbox. "Maybe we'll get lucky and people won't mind?"

In my experience, that's typically why people who know it's poor form to use a double negative use a double negative.

Don't misunderstand - I'm sure Martin thinks its going to be a problem (and so do I). But TDO thinks it isn't, apparently, and if they don't then there we are.

Gondolas and a Sky-ride are very low capacity, very susceptible to weather (wind and lightning) are incredibly unreliable, and do not have adequate climate control for a Florida. (No AC).
Isn’t the new name for the gondola with all the lightning in Florida should be called the zapper” it will be electrifying “

Sure. It'll only be a problem for the first hour or so in the morning... and the last hour or so in the evening...

That gate even before park open only uses maybe 50% of its capacity and if they use the exit, which has touch points, they could absorb just as many guest entries as the front of the park (mid day). It has 2 v's (4 touch points each) with an additional 4 touch points at the exit. The hangup will be security screenings but they have room to move that forward fairly easily if needed.
That's 'cause right now, you're only dealing with the Epcot-bound guests from 3 and a half resorts. And they haven't opened RAT, Mary Poppins and GotG.

2020 will see all that active and the functioning Skyliner bringing in guests from 3 more resorts, many of whom will not have been on RAT, MP and GotG.

I just think there won't be enough capacity for the first and last hours of the day.

There will always be heavy traffic times, and they have also said the busses will still be running, so think of this as an additional alternate form of transportation....and expect very long lines for a couple years...

I’m not sure what you’re meaning here. Of course there will be busy arrival times at the parks. But what do buses have to do with the IG? There aren’t any buses that run to there.

And as far as I know, Disney haven’t said anything about buses. The only info we have about that is from our insiders, who all say the business plan included cutting the buses from the gondola resorts to Epcot and DHS.

Where has it been said busses will keep running? Everything we have heard is that they want to eliminate buses between the resorts and parks served by the Skyliner. Even if they don't completely eliminate them, they will be scaled back considerably.

If needed they do have hand held touch point devices (same ones they use for magic hours). Besides with a well trained team and plenty of guest relations folks to handle issues you can process people through pretty quickly.

If it does become an issue however they can add additional capacity as they do have room for it.

I think it’s the security checks that will cause the problems, not the ticket touch points.

It will be far busier during the first hour or two in the mornings. Let’s hope they’ve got this right.

And I hope they're also accounting for the fact that *because* of the Skyliner, more Pop, AoA, CBR, and Riviera guests will be going to DHS and Epcot vs only being interested in MK. They've self-selected into this cohort, like the Boardwalk, Beach, and Yacht guests, especially during the festivals.

Staying at BWV the last couple of days (as I do most Octobers). As far as I can tell, the security capacity at the IG will need to at least double for park opening when the Skyliner opens.
