Yes they will.
And they would have if there were no Gondola's. That is the same as breathing. However, how much is the question and whether they use the Gondola's as an excuse for it. The gondola's appear to be more practical for Disney, but, I fail to see how it is a motivation for going to one of those resorts. Now they need to walk to the Gondola's switch over to others and this probably cannot be emphasized enough, no relief from the heat like the buses offer. After the novelty wears off there is no incentive for anyone to pay extra because of the Gondola's. However, there is no limit to the gullibility of the Disney public.

Speed buddy,,,,

Pure speed. These things will be moving. As the crow flies. Buses take FOREVER. Gondolas take not FOREVER.

Not everyone that goes on vacation give a damn about speed. Convenience, for sure? Comfort, for sure? A desire to pay more so they can walk in the open (no cover from resort to Gondola location), sit in the heat, even for a few minutes, get out and switch lines to get to other locations, not so much. I think it is a good option, but, it isn't anywhere near a benefit to most guests, it is in fact a pain. It is a financial benefit to Disney, however. That will be realized as soon as the novelty wears off.

You think a lot of people go on vacation to stand at bus stops waiting for buses which then have to take the most wildest routes to parks? Plus maybe make about 4-5 other stops along the way. Either at diff bus stops in the resort, or at a shared resort stop?

Weird thing to enjoy about vacation.

Two thoughts on this:
1. People don't like the buses that much - certainly not the super-consumers here on the board but also the general public. The wait times between buses and the long lines that don't move and the seeming forever it takes to load ECVs.
2. I think a narrative of Disney raising prices with the *excuse* that it is because of the Skyliner is a deceptive narrative. Let me give an equally deceptive narrative on the other side: 1. Disney builds Skyliner.2. People like Skyliner. 3. More people book at AoA. 4. AoA fills up early and is 100% booked at current prices. 5. Disney raises prices at AoA to even out demand. Now as an evil shareholder/owner, you might say, "Why didn't the company execs anticipate this and raise prices earlier? They left money on the table!"

Anyway, I don't see that there's a need to *argue* about whether Disney will raise prices on the Skyliner resorts. I'm sure that like 99.9% of these arguments on the board, no one is going to convince anyone else of anything they've already predicted will happen. But that's ok as long as we're having fun doing it. It's like going to the parks nowadays, you have a feeling that you're getting fleeced but it's ok as long as you're having enough fun.

I don't enjoy either so I stay offsite. So you could all be right. It just will never include me.

Except people with access to knowledge on the long range plan (who have a long history of credibility) have stated FROM THE BEGINNING this was always the plan. This is not 'oh even a broken clock is right twice a day...'

Your hypothetical doesn't cover the scheme to redo the value/mod/deluxe labels either. So... ponder that one.

Instead of arguing what they will do or not, or if its REALLY want they are doing... why not sit back and take in the insight being offered and waiting to see if it pans out?

I was noticing what seemed to me to be IR blocking coating on the windows. So I don't think I'd call them very effective greenhouses. They'll block 90%-99% of the infrared which is 53% of solar irradiance. The window film also reflects a good portion of the visible spectrum so it's probably blocking 75% or more of the heat.

These flying boxes of death are going to bring down the company and probably the country as well!! End of story!!!
So, it's a good thing people will be spontaneously combusting, otherwise it'll be too dark in those little plexiglass coffins.
