You know, the one way they could have gotten AC on the gondola is some kind of dry ice or liquid nitrogen system like the ones they have for the ice cream carts. Of course, this could potentially kill the passengers in a mishap so maybe all in all it might be better to live with the cooling breezes of the outdoors. I mean after all, you did have to be outside for the 5 minute walk to the station and for much of the rest of the day in the parks. Maybe they'll start selling those cooling towels in the gondola queue?

What harm can come from carbon dioxide in an enclosed cabin?

Earlier in the thread someone posted a patent for cooling gondolas using regular ice. Machines in the stations would load the ice as needed and battery or solar powered fans would circulate the air. I don't believe anyone has actually tried to use this patent in practice.

It seems that the "solution" to this "problem" would be to air condition the stations as well as possible, so you're freezing when you get on, and you're met by a blast of cold air as soon as you get off. Any AC system would have to implement a similar feature anyways, otherwise it would never keep up with cooling down the cabin once the doors open.

How about if they built a freezer where the storage is so they could put a cold one on the line then you are good for a few minutes. Hot one in and cold one out. With enough capacity they would always have a stock of cold ones to use.

OK. AC issue solved lets move on to the lightning issue.

Cable splicing will be very similar to that posted earlier. The heated chair system is pretty cool, but even on a short ride like the Hermitage Club that seat goes cold by the sixth tower or so, or at least cold enough you can't notice it through the snow pants. There are other ways to make AC happen if they want it, that's all I'll say on the matter so as to avoid the lightning bolts striking the gondi down at every turn(and those cabins not struck are certainly melting away in that never before seen insane Florida sun).

You could do something where the dry ice was isolated and transferred the cold through a metal plate but vented the CO2. It would be an expensive system. The dry ice would have to be replaced quite often. Dry ice works well in an insulated environment to keep things frozen. Using it as AC, it will sublimate (disappear) quite quickly.

Wow people, you would make it very easy to be a troll, even though I don't think wdizneew was even trying.
Disney has always been known for keeping sight lines clear, it is one of the things that makes Disney different
and wdizneew was just pointing it out. It is unusual for Disney, though it does not ruin everything. Go take a
look around Universal to talk about sight lines, you can see the dragon, on top of Gringott's, from outside of
the Diagon Alley area.

We do realize that France has massive construction going on behind it, right? Its entirely likely they can add a faux roof/topper that would block that minor intrusion of sight lines. Its really galling to hear people bashing things like the Rat building, the skyliner, GotG building, etc...when they still have massive portions that aren't even framed in, yet. People even complain about cranes wrecking the view, as if they are going to fully theme construction equipment.
