Was talking about Deluxes or signature ones. @marni1971 already answered nicely.
There was zero indication in your post that I could see that you were referring only to the deluxe. Could you point that out to me?

While that is good news, do you think the influx of people visiting the attraction will spill over into Les Halles? That is obviously dependent on if Ratatouille will be open in the morning. Apologies if its already been mentioned if it will or will not, I have not read every page of the thread.Access to Ratatouille from International Gateway will bypass most the existing pavilion.
Speak for yourself. Not everyone has stupid, snobby, high standards for a gondola tower. Sometimes I'm glad I never visited WDW in the old days, I couldn't imagine being a bitter hater of everything the company does in the present day.
You can make out one of the lights flashing on the departing cabs:
At 40 seconds you can see both flashing.
Technically they are classed as deluxe villa resorts.OKW and SSR are classed as deluxe resorts.
Yes, and it's a pretty good bet that those parking lots are visible from the ground as well. And just like the parking lots which are there as a utility so that people can get to the parks, so goes the gondola's except that the gondola's will be a lot more fun. From my Google modeling, I'd say there will be precious little of Epcot backstage visible; certainly no more than when taking a bus.
The big backstage mess visible will be BoardWalk Inn's backstage. And parking lots. Lots and lots of parking lots.
Oh, it is. Eisner made a big deal over it.I don't think that is considered the "show" anyway..
Well, Mr. Michael has been known to be wrong before!Oh, it is. Eisner made a big deal over it.
I don’t think he was on this one.Well, Mr. Michael has been known to be wrong before!
I'll take your word for it as I have never visited Boardwalk. It just always struck me as a shopping/eating location and, of course, hotel. I fail to think of that as anything other then just another resort. Mileage/Kilometers may vary.I don’t think he was on this one.
Try it. Even as an hour out of Epcot.I'll take your word for it as I have never visited Boardwalk..
Couldn’t agree more.Try it. Even as an hour out of Epcot.
We were in the villas and I LOVED it. The easy access to Epcot and the general atmosphere was just incredible. The board walk of BoardWalk is... nice. Some good food service there. Pretty views.
If you come from a shore town with a board walk that has rides and piers (Coney Island, Sea Side NJ, Wildwood NJ), you'll be a bit disappointed at how skimpy this board walk is in comparison.
The complex is basically the usually deluxe level restaurants and shops you would expect in a duluxe resort like BoardWalk Inn, but, it's arranged as an outdoor mall with a Northeastern shore board walk theme. There are just as good, if not better, food services inside of Y&B and Swolphin. The entertainment is spotty... you never know when they'll be there and it's just a street performer. Compared to other deluxe complexes, it has a leg up with regard to having a piano bar and a dance hall (and I've rarely ever seen the dance hall really hopping). There is certainly no rides there and just a kiosk or two of a typical midway game you'd find on real board walks.
It's... nice. It serves the purpose of the amenities you find in most deluxe resorts. And the theming is pretty. If you're on a four-park vacation in four days, I wouldn't recommend making it a destination. If you have a eight day vacation, it's worth seeing, especially if you're staying in a Crescent Lake resort or walking between Epcot and DHS.
IMHO.
Flying Fish is alone worth the trip for me. And the evening ambiance is a ton of fun.Try it. Even as an hour out of Epcot.
This is literally why this is my happy place/area at WDW. We always try to stay around the Boardwalk whether it be the Swan/Dolphin or Yacht/Beach Club. I love taking a stroll at night and grabbing an ice cream and watching the entertainment. Thanks for posting these great pics.Boardwalk along with Seven Seas Lagoon are my favorite out-of-park areas at WDW. Both are relaxing enjoyable spots to spend a little time. We usually stroll around it at least once per trip. In fact we were married at the boardwalk pavilion, Sea Breeze Point, and had our reception in the BW convention center. These pics are immediately post wedding ceremony:

Favorite BW restaurant though is across the way, Beaches & Cream
Maybe one trip we'll rent the multi-bikes (not sure what they are actually called)
I've got to check this out on our next trip! Thanks for the reminderI like the Abracadbar. Great theming and drinks. Perfect spot to wait on your table at the Flying Fish right next door.
