Are they still going through the shenanigans of saying that neither bathroom is in Liberty Square?

The downstairs bathroom is to the left of the ordering area. Does anyone know when this was built?

Not old, just vintage.
I am pretty sure those bathrooms have been there for a long time. They are really tiny though so they are easy to miss. If I am thinking of the right ones, I think there are only 3-4 stalls in the women's room and no space to move in there at all.

So much for the theories it would be made into a Rapunzel tower...

It was the wrong shape, so that theory was really grasping.

There will still likely be a tower, unless they change the plans (which they're known to do). It was just odd that they left this old one standing while tearing down everything else. Plus, it was coincidentally sitting right at the corner of one of the new restrooms.

It was there from the start as far as I know ... it was there on my first childhood visits in the mid-70s as we always ate there and I always peed a lot

One of the recent pictures of the tower showed it covered in tarps. Is it possible there was something hazardous in the tower, asbestos maybe, that required it to be taken apart more carefully?

Or that it was elevated and they wanted to take it down piece by piece so it didn't collapse in the wrong direction.

My theory is that the tower infrastructure was being considered to be icorporated in the design. Then there was a long delay and now the project is underway again but it is possible the area has been completely reimagined and the drawings that leaked last year are no longer accurate. I think the only thing that is certain at this point is that they will be eliminating the bottleneck for safety reasons but it is possible the area will be something entirely new and unanticipated. My bet is still on a Tangled addition. However Pixie Hollow, Aurora, Pan or other franchises could be on the drawing board. It is even possible they are no longer considering adding restrooms but rather a mini-land instead. Anything is possible because it is a larger area than it originally appeared to be. Just thinking out loud here. :D

Jt, contrary to your theories Construction does not begin when things are being considered. Construction drawings are very detailed and complete. That isn't saying things can't change, they do, but for something like this I'm sure it was a safety and sequencing issue.

Possibly, but given that it was built at the same time everything else in that area was built, probably not.

Or that it was elevated and they wanted to take it down piece by piece so it didn't collapse in the wrong direction.

This is more likely the case. Or one of a hundred other reasons.

This area isn't big enough for anything more than a couple restroom buildings, and I highly doubt they'd scrap that idea, given that the park is lacking in the potty department.

Besides, if they did something else, they'd have to go back and re-file with the Drainage Board, since this project affects storm water drainage (significantly).
