New Crypt Queue in Haunted Mansion-What do you think?

Everything but the kitchen sink. Its cute. Understated, realistic, fabulous. Really meets that one sklar commandment: create turn ons and avoid overloads. As for the guy who said i should check my history, really? Really? I think the serious mansion comes first before marcs animated, funny take on the after life. And according to history the mansion outside was to be neat and clean and the ghosts will take care of the inside. Therefore no outside spectres! Oops.
All I'm saying is that it looks off. It's like placing a captain hook AA inside potc. Its just not for me. It will be fun and cool, no doubt. As an artist, designer and disney dork i'm entitled to my opinions.

I'm just hoping that they factored in some extra wear-and-tear on these things, and learned their lesson from the Indiana Jones queue in Disneyland.
One of the best in-queue effects is the spike room, where you push on a bamboo pole, and the ceiling drops a foot or two while spikes start to extend from above. It has a timer on it so that the effect can only be activated every few minutes (and thus actually surprise some people, who aren't seeing the ceiling in constant motion up and down). But that doesn't stop people from pushing the pole, pushing harder, and then shoving the pole when the effect doesn't activate.

I understand that...but it just doesn't seem to fit outside and looks extremely plastic instead of ethereal.

Oh, I completely agree...
I like the fact that they are making these additions, but from what I see...I think it's making the Haunted Mansion a little too "cartoony." The Leota tombstone was perfect.
If everything was marble color and stone, it would've been a lot better.

Perhaps we are judging too quick....it could be that special plastic that becomes instantly aged looking after 20 years in the Florida sun.

Oh completely...this thing isn't even "open" yet.
HM is my favorite attraction (like many) so I'm a little more judgmental about it than I am other attractions.

Me too...I'm assuming that the heads also have some sort of interactivity to them and perhaps that's the reason for the "replaceability" issue.

Hers was almost to the entrance to the foyer. It wasn't where all this work was done, and probably (hopefully) is still where it was.

I was there the 12th and it was still covered but there were plenty of places to look through and I got some good pictures of the new queue.
