Come, now, there's an "o" in country. Let's not let things get too "blue".

Also, can we not just get a new Norway? I wouldn't complain if they just airlifted the original Norway somewhere and gave us a new one. There's an attraction at MGM based on a 10-year-old show, why can't they afford to do that?

...Oh yeah. Probably for the same reason they can't even repaint the Maelstrom.

Ditch United Kingdom and make it simply Scotland. One of the world's smallest countries but one of the world's biggest contributors to our way of life. World Showcase awash with tartan would be great.

When at Norway, the minute I see those rigs on the wall I immediately think of Scotland. Our foray into the oil industry has been very similar apart from a foreign Government pillaging all of Scotland's oil wealth.

I would like to see the Moroccan pavillion get a Sinbad ride like the one in TDS and there's plenty of space for it on both sides of the pavillion.

I've counted five places around the WS lagoon that would be suitable for a new attraction or pavillion make it six if you count the Millinium Pavillion.

The Norwegian government dropped its sponsorship and funding of the Norway pavilion back around 2002-03. This is one reason why Akershus was turned into character dining, Disney had full freedom to do what they wanted to with it, again just one of the reasons.

The pavilion def needs some love tho especially Maelstrom which is falling apart and many parts dont work half the time. Its a shame the sponsorship thing is such an issue. They also need of a course a new movie, I mean I love the old one its classic, but again no funding for a new one even though they were close a few years back with a Bergen film company.

Also ahem, open up the store doors already and not funnel everyone through the store when they exit the movie, its impossible in there to shop and you feel like a salmon spawing up stream just trying to get through there. uggg.

I also miss the film they use to show upstairs in the afternoons, they would take small groups up in the elevator into the sponsorship lounge which is right over the entrance to Maelstrom and there was a mini theater up there.
The Norwegian Embassy still says they love and support the pavilion, but they dont provide any money or official sponsorship.

They have been updating the restaurants. Nine Dragons and the Japan pair really are greatly improved. :shrug: Yeah, I know. Doesn't really do it for me either.

Don't need Switzerland for the Matterhorn. You can put it in Italy. The real Matterhorn is on the border of the two countries.

The attraction is really fun, and a great change of pace. Also rather ingenious.

No worry because Africa is a continent not a country(unlike Australia), plus morocco is already there from Africa. They need either Australia or Brazil.

I dont think the Netherlands was ever proposed or on the table but it would def look great along World Showcase with those buildings and windmills. Denmark was close to being built back in the 90s. I know even though Norway is already there they were still very close to signing a deal with Denmark.

also, I think the less industrialized nations seem to fit better in Animal Kingdom, the ones that are most known for their animal and plant life, instead of industry and architecture

I began to read that with a air of skepticism, but you corrected yourself.:lol:

And agreed about Matterhorn. But why not build Switzerland next door and have two entrances?:D

Like somebody else stated , I think brazil would be a great place. You could add a brazilian bbq place and a ride through the amazon. Could be a great country to add.​

I've always thought Brazil would be best represented at Animal Kingdom because of the Amazon/Rain Forest angle. I'm hoping South America is high on the list for the massive piece of land between Asia and Africa.

As for WS, I think the ideal S. American country to be represented would be Peru. Great cultural, historical and natural resource aspects to draw from. It could be an amazing and unique addition IMO.

The Norway pavilion was initially supposed to represent several countries, and be located elsewhere on the prominade. Lou Mongello did a show about this on his WDW Radio show back on 2/8/2009. Download it on iTunes, it's a great listen.
