New attraction for AK?

OK, so perhaps Africa would get another attraction that would be built with and in the same area as the new FOTLK building. Is that the right rumor?

Anyway, I'm game. Hopefully, it's a ride, as this park needs more, especially if it's a family friendly one.

1)Yep if they could close the animal exhibits so the animals go to sleep...and have attractions which focus on imaginary and extinct animals and night time spectacular people will feel the urge to stay longer.

2)No...Nemo isn't a great addition to a pavilion that didn't need it. If I wanted to see sea life every trip I'd go to SeaWorld. Just because you can do something ... doesn't mean you should...before Pandora is/maybe/won't built a version of Albion celebrating the great Medieval type creatures would be great add for AK

3)I like Disney stuff - I don't like Disney's UNHEALTHY love of synergy though. Anthropomorphic animals are about as appealing as sticking needles in ones eyes. Should 101 Dalmatians be added to AK? Nope! Should Rescuers be added to AK? Nope!...The list goes on.

4)Not every park needs characters 2 parks should be enough for you hugging a teenager in fur, than removing the last park with a cohesive structure - because you can't hug a princess.

Well I thought they "had" to close the place at 6, "so" the animals could go to sleep, I thought there was some PETA type regulations about that...

But I'm not even talking about movie characters specifically, the Magic Kingdom in Florida is the #1 theme park in the world by a pretty wide margin, and everything there is was created by them and their people with their sensibility. The Tiki Birds, Country Bears, Pirates, Haunted Mansion ghosts... they are all their characters too, they are pretty much loved around the world, and they are specific to the Magic Kingdom Park

That's what Animal Kingdom needs, that Disney fantasy component is what's missing from it. Had they got around to Beastly Kingdom, or at least the concept of it, it would have been their take on myths and monsters and it would have fit the park as a whole, Asia, Africa, Dinoland U.S.A., and the myths and legends of ancient Europe... not the hit Sci Fi movie of 2010

Avatar and the Avengers already got a home, The Hollywood Studio is already a pop culture museum of licensed stuff, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Muppets, Pixar, Twilight Zone, Aerosmith, and all the Great Movie Ride stuff... It's make a lot more sense to Avatar there, instead of watered down clone of Carsland. I just keep hoping sooner or later logic will prevail here, and they remember why they're #1

Sorry, no. Something moving FOTLK could also possibly include.

Would it be just a bigger and better FOTHK or a completly new attraction going alone with FOTLK? I had heard that someone from cirque de soleil was working on a project for AK, could it be for more acrobatic performers at FOTLK?

Yes they are clutching at straws but rightly or (more so) wrongly Avatar 'fits'( I use that description loosely) because they are imaginary creates - as in the dedication plaque states.

Myth is the same as imaginary - hell they could put pokemon in Animal Kingdom and it technically fits in with the imaginary animals component...

Urgghh...I need a trip to DLP ... like now!

Okey, so if I get Marni right, then a new attraction is tied to FotLK moving, which in turn is dependent on Avatar being greenlighted thereby forcing FotLK to move.

A potential attraction at Africa then, west of Tusker House. Not much space there if the FotLK must also move in. Small footprint, hmm...a quick dark-ride of some sort?

I believe it's been hinted on here that they may create a lion exhibit. So probably not a ride.

It would be a separate attraction with nocturnal animals that opens when kilimanjaro closes. You kind of "force" families to stick around all day to do both attractions, which I'm sure Disney wouldn't mind. I'm sure Disney would love to reuse Kilimanjaro, but logistically it would be a nightmare to swap out the day animals with the night, apparently it takes them 3 hours as is to move them to their pens.

Also, if the animals choose to stay out they may do so. They don't force the animals to come in. They are trained to return by sound. I learned that on Backstage Safari Tour.
