Until opened the project can always be cancelled I suppose. So its proposed until it officially opens.

Now maybe they mistakenly added the word proposed, or mistakenly left off the word DVC from the post. But the point is that the tower is being built and no longer proposed.

How many different people are there at your keyboard exactly? And which one is in charge of making snacks? 🤔

There is only one of me lol.

I provided a guess of my own, and then responded to another poster who provided their own thoughts on it.

I can't see how room usage would determine the status of whether its "proposed" or not.

In addition that would only apply to the marketing and selling of DVC for that tower, not the whole project itself.
The weirdness of timeshare regulations had Disney denying Bay Lake Tower was being construction even as there was steel rising over 100’ above the shores of Bay Lake. In the world of construction something under vertical construction isn’t considered proposed.

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.
The project is not in New York its in California, so that shouldn't have any bearing here. Besides they aren't even marketing and selling those DVC units yet, not even in California, so that shouldn't even be relevant at this point.

So I don't see how what you are saying could be the reason why an Instagram post labels the entire project as proposed. Now maybe they mistakenly added the word proposed, or mistakenly left off the word DVC from the post. But the point is that the tower is being built and no longer proposed. The only thing left as proposed is whether they actually use it for DVC or use it for regular hotel rooms.
Okay well timeshare law expert I promise that’s why they use the word.

You would think when posting about the actual construction they could just remove the word proposed, and then use the word proposed when speaking in context of DVC.

I didn't mean to start a debate, I just found it odd that a construction photo still labelled the project as proposed. I would only use that word if they were sharing concept art and construction had not begun.

Don't worry, not just you. I read that caption and instantly thought the same thing. It's either a sloppy typo, or a bizarrely inane way of not running afoul of timeshare laws in the state of New York.

I'm betting two churros on sloppy typo.
