Nervous, Excited..Need Good Thoughts please..:)

So, as most of you know Miss Maggie has had a feeding tube since she was 3 months old..well the time has come for it to be removed...:sohappy:
6 months ago we started the tube weaning process...

She has not used it since then and all she does is eat and eat and eat and so now tommorow at 2:00 we go and get her "buddy" removed...:D

My nerves are kinda bad right now..I want it out..there are no questions about that..but it is all we have known for over 3 years and I just hope it does not hurt her...and she is kind of in between the wanting her "buddy" out and not wanting out stage right now.

Maggie is not fond of Dr.s at all..and not fond of bobos, being hurt in general..anytime she falls or gets hurt..she jumps right up and could be bleeing or hurt and say..I am fine...and act like all is ok..I think because she has been to so many Dr.s before and dealt with so much.

I have been really great about it until ..well today..:lol::eek:..and now my head is spinning and I feel sick to my stomach.

I know it is a GREAT thing..and I am really so happy about it..and have been waiting for this day for a long time..My nerves are just getting the best of me..:eek:

So, if you could all just think of us tomorrow and wish us luck that it all goes well..I would appreciate it..I am sure there will be tears shed..I just prefer them to be mine and not hers..:)

Thanks for the love and support you guys have given us since I joined here over 3 years ago..it means a lot and I have made many wonderful amazing friends who I love and cherish...:)

Thanks again..and I will make sure to let you know how it goes tomorrow once Miss Maggie does not have her "Buddy" anymore"..:)

Dana - everything will go great today, Princess Maggie is one tough cookie and she has the best mom and dad anyone could ask for.

How far you have all come and what an amazing journey - her guardian angels will be there to help your wonderful family once again.

No..Basically they use a certain tool to insert it into her stoma as it is called and pull out her button (feeding tube)..The thing is hse used to have a balloon tube and last july she got a non ballon one because the ballon ones kept popping and this one i harder to get out and it said it is more difficult to remove and may cause pain and bleeding..:(..so That makes me sad..

Hi all..

Well my baby girl has no more buddy (feeding tube)..:)

She did really good...it took two tries to get it out..was kinda stuck in there..so after the first time and some tears we gave some tylenol and waited and then tried again..a few more tears and out it came..shed a little blood but the site looks really good and is already closing nicely..The Dr. said it looks really great.

She gained a pound and a half since March..:)

Maggie, Mommy and Daddy went to McDonalds and The Park to swing and slide as requested by Miss Maggie after the Dr...and had a great time..:)

Now we have Mommys special birthday Disney/Tampa trip to look forward to..:)

Thanks so much for all the well wishes and prayers...we are very happy..:)..and we appreciate all of you..:)

I will pictures of Miss Maggie with her Buddy and with a buddy-less belly later on when the site looks better..:)
