I don't know how recently this was changed, but Jerry Rees website says this:

" "Mystery Attraction" / EPCOT
Next-gen larger-than-life interactive spectacle.
Premiere planned for late 2015 or early 2016."

If you click on the "Mystery Attraction" link you get this:

To me, the above sounds like it could be related to the new nighttime show for Epcot. This is cool, but I was really hoping he was working on a replacement for Captain EO.

his choice in color scheme is interesting. Purple has always been the imagination buildings calling card.

Why couldn't the interactive spectacle be something featured in the Eo theater?

It could. I think the "larger-than-life" pushed my thinking toward something outside, and the timing(2016) would match up with the rumored, new Illuminations show.

If Sped2424 is right about the color scheme being a clue, then I would lean toward something for Imagination.

We already know we are getting a new nighttime show for Epcot that will most likely be bad a$$, with Steve Davison involved, so I really hope this is another project.

We do? I didn't think a new show was coming to Epcot, just an update for RoE. Where was this news broken (I probably missed it in one of the threads)?

Can we stay on topic please?
OK, let's see. Disney has a mystery project at Epcot that to this point is a secret. The secret is so well kept that no one, including upper management at The Disney Company know what it is. I'm not hopeful about anything mainly because it is a situation where they wrote down the secret on a piece of paper and then hid it someplace where no one could accidentally see it and then they forgot where they hid it. Hey, it happens!

First I've heard of an Illuminations replacement. I believe they've instead decided to just update some tech and make it look better, which they're currently doing. I believe Wishes is being replaced at some point, but obviously that's not this.

It has to be the EO theater. Or maybe the soon to be closed Innoventions West?

I thank you for your enthusiasm.
