Mystery Project at Epcot

They say that it's a potential replacement for EO but that's not for sure...and they also mention Alien Encounter...hmm...I think something along those lines would be fun!

I can see it now...Imagination with Figment and a horribly scary Alien! Lol...never mind, that'll never work.

I'm cool with an Eo replacement. The movie is played out at this point.

And, yes, even though 3D and 4D attractions are commonplace and not as novel, they can still be fun and interesting. There's nothing wrong with putting a new film in that place. It's Tough to be a Bug and Philharmagic are still great attractions even if they've been around a while. The content and execution matter a lot, not just the technology.

Jerry's not used for big rides or attractions, he's a film guy. Draw your own conclusions there. Life's dead. No immediate plans for that space. JII is on the radar, as is Energy, but that doesn't mean expect movement soon. Expect more corporate synergy with Apple in the future.

This is encouraging. Future World really needs some deep-pocketed sponsors such as Apple, Google or even Richard Branson.

Hopefully incorporating the latest and greatest pop culture icons is in the past. No matter if celebrities or animated characters, it almost immediately becomes dated especially in a future looking park.

I like HISTA! Bring it back, get rid of Eo, and put an inspired new creative ride with a descent budget.
I think we are of the few who enjoyed HISTA. I liked the combination of special effects and the 3D movie. I thought it was cleaver. I really enjoyed watching the audience when the rats ran through the seats.

Is the Apple comment referring to Future Fest?

I really just find them to be an awful yet profitable company. Yes they made neat stuff, but also have done nothing more than making stuff to sell at an ultra premium price.

Apple have shown interests in certain areas of Epcot in the not too distant past. If that still stands I don't know.

I have no love for Apple, their products, or the marketing focused pass the price along to the consumer model. But, if they want to sponsor a new Imagination ride I'll be lining up to show my appreciation. Maybe I'll purchase an Ipad and send a thank you note along with the loan payments I'll need to take out in order to buy it. :)

Curse them for doing what every company wants to do, and does. Have you been to Disney World lately? Um…the whole place is a physical manifestation of what you just posted. I am a huge fan of the place, but it exists to make $$, and as much as possible. Ultimately what we argue about here is keeping the place up to par with the quality and value we expect for the premium prices we pay. You may not agree, but those who pay premium prices for an Apple product believe (true or not) they are getting a superior quality experience. On that level, Apple as a sponsor makes perfect sense.

They need Bombardier to sponsor UoE and maybe do a monorail expansion as part of he deal...

New interactive game:

Monorail footer treasure map! Find the buried monorail footers with the new interactive treasure map!

You mean the ones that fell into the sinkholes? ;)

Crayola is a perfect sponsor for Imagination.

Crayola has an entire rainbow of products for kids to let out their imagination, while Apple just makes computery stuff.

...Which is another way to let out imagination.

Don't kid yourself. Kids love iPads as much as crayons. Maybe even moreso.
Just spent 8 hours at Sick Kids with my 6' 4" 16-year old, and every waiting room was packed with 3-7 year olds playing with iPads, iPhones and Samsung Galaxies. One little guy even walked up to me and eyeballing my iPad, said, "Hey, it's my turn now".
All the while, the crayons and colouring books remained largely ignored.

I don't mind paying a premium if I get my $'s worth. We are a mac family, my kids now play with my first iPad, yes the original one. They bang the heck out of it and it does not have a case, and it still runs great. So yes, worth the extra money. At least to me.

I live in SC, I could take my kids to Carowinds for very little $, but I'd rather save for the premium prodcut "Disney"
