We're only 49 days from our trip....my mom today slipped getting out of bed...she hit her head....and she's gone...she was only 54...

I want to share a story with my WDWMagic friends, because I keep clinging to it...

Last year my mom was having major surgery (we almost lost her then...). Two days before, I got the crazy idea I was taking her to WDW for the weekend. The stars aligned and we made it for 2 nights...spent one awesome day in MK.

But, the night before, we got our 1-day tix at guest relations in DTD. The CM at the counter said, "I know you ladies!"

Little did she know when we walked in, my mom whispered to me, "I know that CM. We talked to her in 2008, in Adventureland, by Pirates. She gave away dreams (we didn't get one, but my mom loves talking to CMs...)

We were so far away and my mom whispered it to me...it's impossible the CM heard her....out of the thousands of guests she had encountered over the previous two years, that CM remembered my mom....and I knew it made her beam.

She was a special lady...my best friend... idk what I'm going to do without her...

Thanks for indulging me...I hope I don't spoil anyone's magic...

I lost my Mom and it is rough. I get emotional around Mothers day and other times that were special to us. I am sorry for your loss and it sounds like you had some fantastic times with her!

For what it's worth from a stranger on the internet, I pray that you will find great comfort in the days and weeks ahead as you deal with the passing of your mother. Whether expected or not, your loss remains and I hope that you will receive a great deal of grace within your heart as you grieve over the death of your mother. God bless you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's times like these that the perpetual momma in me wants to know that magical word combination to put a big ol' bandaid on a broken heart and make it all better. I like to think when our most beloved family members pass that part of them remains within us. All we need to do is close our eyes, imagine them there with us, and feel the warmth of our love for them wash over us. In that moment they're right there with us. They live on thru us. Your mom will never be far from you. As a mom I can assure you this. In this life and the next I will never be far from my babies if they should need me. Your mom is always with you. I promise. It's what we do.

I'll pray for you and yours to find peace and comfort during this difficult time. Love and big ol' Mousy-hugs...

Sorry to hear of your loss, how unbearable, my mother is 58 and I shudder at the thought of her not being here. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Sending you (((((((((hugs))))))))))). Be strong.
