I'm a man who loves good fashion, good makeup, and good hair. I'm entitled to my opinion. And my opinion is this makeover is junk!

Hint: it’s not supposed to be realistic. (Who would notice?) Think of it as drag.

That said, quoting one of the articles I posted:

“So, what exactly is this Character Couture Package? First things first, these are high-end, quality, professional salon services by licensed and trained cosmetologists. You can be confident that salon-quality products are being used in all areas of the Character Couture Package.

This can be as subtle or dramatic as you'd like it to be ... the choice is yours!

You guys saw one picture and started throwing daggers.

It’s supposed to be fun, not realistic. (Though I presume you can ask for it to be more or less subtle based on the quote above.)

This is not meant for a fashion critique.

Also, since some people were asking, this is not just a “princess makeover.” Also from the article:

“No character is off limits! You can consult your stylist about rocking anything between a classic princess like Snow White to an underdog favorite like Wreck-It Ralph's Vanellope Von Schweetz. And don't worry — villains, the Fab Five and Star Wars characters are fair game, too!”

I've never been a fan of adults dressing up (beyond Halloween) or the whole cosplay thing and while I personally don't get it and think the makeovers they pictured weren't done well (no offense meant to the models), people can do what they want as long as Disney allows it in the parks. Now if someone can do something about those social clubs ; )

Um... This is a forum about Disney. When we see something stupid the company is doing, we'll comment on it. Again, we're not criticizing the guests. We're criticizing the company's lousy service.
I think that's part of the issue...some folks took it as a direct attack on these particular women when in reality, the discussion should have been about whether people agree with this type of offering i.e. making up adult women to look like princesses. I understood the OP's intention, but there were probably some folks that a) crossed the line a bit and made it seem personal (intentional or not) and b) were very offended because they are in to this type of thing. Again, I would never ever disneybound, cosplay nor would my wife ever consider a makeover...but if someone wants to do it, that's their gig.

You do understand that only a few short years ago, BBB didn’t have an age limit. There were ladies in their 80’s getting princess makeovers. Quite apparently, people were sad that the practice was changed, and Disney is bringing it back under a new name.

If it's something people want and it makes them happy, it's not stupid. It may be stupid to you, but you don't have to look hence the necessity for the mind your own business comment.
