My Lack-Luster Frozen-Hiney Cabbage-Full January Report-of-Sorts

I've put off the report for quite some time for lotsa reasons/excuses. I know I'll never top the epic I wrote last January so I won't even try. I've started and restarted writing this a bunch of times but for various reasons it won't come out how I want so I give up. Here's the pics with commentary. You'll get the jist.

Here's the pre-trip details for those who missed it or are interested. Just click here.

Jerry, gotta send a special shout-out to you. Thanks for talking with me the other day and doing your big-brother thing. I love you. This is for you.

I showed Colleen and she thought it was dead on as well. You SHOULD DEFINITELY get him a Cobra Kai outfit and make him be Johnny at MNSSHP!!!

Johnny's a bad guy. Brian wouldn't do it if I paid him $100. I showed the family your post. Tracey, Chandler, and I were full-on -->:ROFLOL:....Brian said, "That dude's a jerk, Mom!" and walked away. You better watch out. He might put the smack-down on your butt when he meets you! Well, okay, it'd be more like a stick figure flailing about but don't tell him I said that. :zipit: He's soooo self-conscious of his skinniness. :animwink:

I told him that! I was like, "Man! Better to look like Johnny than DanielSon! All the girls thought Johnny was the hottie...not dorky Daniel!" He's not really mad. Most likely he's forgotten it by now. But dang, that was so friggin' funny! I've never even thought of that but you're so right!!! LOL!

When I was a kid and that movie was out I'd have never dreamed I'd give birth to a little blonde kid that looked like hot-Johnny. Wow!:lol:

Yeah I can't believe I did not catch that the first time I read this. I am usually MONEY on spotting look a likes.

 Everyone has their talents. Good that you know yours this early in life. Man, I'm still totally geekin' out on the fact that a kid that came forth from my body and my gene pool looks like THAT guy. I'm like all proud of myself and stuff now. I need the cookie now. No, make that a medal of honor.

I missed this one too!! I just spent like an hour reading it and the other umentionable thread. (So sorry about that one!)

I'm so glad you didn't leave though, and got to find a little more magic.

I really really want to go on the Sunrise Safari now!! We were booked on it once and ended up on a last minute cruise instead. :)

The cold would have put a damper on the trip for me too. I'm glad you were prepared!

But anyway, sorry I'm so late to the party! What a great report!

Thanks for the kind words, Tammy. I appreciate it.

The Sunrise Safari is awesome! I highly recommend it. In all honesty, I think if we were given the choice of the safari or a cruise we would choose the cruise, too. LOL! Well, no, wait. If we had been given that choice when we were there in January I don't know that we would've taken the cruise because we'd have thought of how freakin' cold we'd be on the cruise.

We'd have still been chicken. :lookaroun

I'm serious.

That kinda cold makes an impression. Even tho I lived in Central Florida for 10 years, since leaving have made 6 trips all right there around January, and I know in my logical mind that weather like that is completely unlikely to happen again during our specific trip dates, I have no desire to plan another January trip. I just don't want to go then anymore. Hubby feels the same way. It's weird. I think we need pixie-dust therapy to get over it. :hammer::lol:

I totally get that. I do NOT want to be cold at WDW. One of our cruises was the first week of February and Florida was cold. The Caribbean was awesome, but the water was still chilly at first step. Once we cruised the first week of January and Florida was crazy warm! It's so hard to predict sometimes!

I really enjoyed your report!

I am glad someone asked about Ellie, though. I don't judge anyone for taking a "dolly friend" to WDW, but I admit that the initial posts made me curious about why she was there. I wasn't sure if you were taking her as a buddy, or because she belonged to someone who couldn't go with you and wanted to be symbolically represented, or because she was a great way to hide Mommy's Special Flask... ;)

Thanks. This is sorta an older report. I have collected the specific type of doll that Ellie Boo is on & off for about 15 years now. At one point I had a hundred or so of them. I'm down to maybe 20 or so now. I've sold most of them off. Some fetched me in excess of $1k each. Ellie has to stay forever. The alterations I made to her, with her eyes & hair, completely devalued her from a market standpoint. Personally, she's an irreplaceable ball of love I'll keep always. LOL! I think some part of me never grew up entirely and I still have a huge soft spot for dolls & bears. That's why I'm one of the weirdos who can ride IASW over & over, sing both verses of the song all the while, and never get tired of it. That ride is chock FULL of dolls and I still visualize which I'd want to play with, which dress looks the twirliest, etc etc. I may be almost 40 years old on the outside but I promise you there's an 8 yro still hiding in here with me. Taking one of my collectible dolls on a trip was a fun way to bring 2 of my passions together. It was really fun to do. Not sure if do it again. Maybe someday. ;)
