My DHS

Ok I want to start by saying there's not much for me to say really. BVS has been done already in DCA, I just want it to be done better. I think instead of looking at this as a clone, think of what it represents for the park.

Buena Vista Street

Not sure how many of you have experienced this at DCA yet, but it's pretty amazing (I'm talking Tokyo DisneySea level!). I want to bring this gorgeous land over to DHS because it really is the perfect beginning for the park. Everything the guests are going to experience throughout the day is in some way inspired by the work of Walt Disney so why not celebrate his beginning? The land is based in the 1920's, when the motion picture business really started growing in popularity, another reason why the land is perfect.

Now DCA has a very small entrance space, DHS however is much larger. So the land would be expanded greatly to include more of this beautiful architecture...

Also added would be a few more hints towards Walt's career as well as other popular stars of the time (Charlie Chaplin). The Red Car Trolley would also come to DHS and turn down Sunset Blvd.

Most of the buildings would be shops however this would be the new home to One Man's Dream (an updated version) allowing for more space in Animation Courtyard.

As for the Chinese Theatre, luckily it was around in the 20's and it symbolised the beginning of the golden age of Hollywood. The theatre would play a role with the new park statue named "One Day". The statue features young Walt, suitcase in hand, and an early version of Mickey Mouse. Mickey is pointing towards the theatre in awe. Walt has his hand over Mickey's shoulder and is staring out at the theatre with a look on his face saying "I'll make it one day." Which he did! Mary Poppins premiered at the Chinese Theatre when Walt was at the pinnacle of his career, what a perfect fit!

As for the Hat, it will be the new entrance to the animation courtyard!

Well that's my idea, bringing the classic hollywood as well as Walt's beginnings into the park.

LAND CHALLENGE 1:
The first land you must imagine is the entrance to DHS. Do you want to keep the exact same format of Hollywood Boulevard? Do you want to change some shops or the name? You can do what ever you want in this area except TWO things...The Chinese Theater Must Stay and The Big Cheesy Hat Has to Be Relocated Somewhere in DHS...
Relocate the hat to the entrance of the park around the topiaries. I would add a Wax Museum with famous celebrities and Disney characters as well as a GMR refurb with new Hollywood Stars on the sidewalk

Well My first Land In DHS would be fairly much the same. I would Re-paint everything on the street to make it more Fresh and then Add a few things here and there.

-Hollywood Boulevard- Hollywood Boulevard would be the same as it is now! the stores such as the Dark Room will still be there. I would make the Hat down by the theatre move out of the way t the front entrance. It can still be a place for shopping if wanted I really could care less. But notinfront of my theater. its so beautiful
I wold also add the stars names like the real hollywood along the blocks to the Chinese Theater. Another thing. There is a lot of room between the Graumans Theater and the rest of the buildings. I want to add one on the left side. it would be a Store on Coca-Cola....Back in the 30's and 40's it had a huge kick and it would be cool to have an old fashioned soda fountain where they sold the glass bottles and many different brands of drink.

-I also Decided to spruce up Sorcery in the Sky (minus the giant mickey balloon) and Make that the final show again. I actually Liked it and it payed good tribute to some of the best movies and scores from those movies.

-Now on to Sunset. I wouldnt change much but Make it more Authentic retail in the shops. I want the Candy place to becomes "Khers" candy. Its a small candy shop I visited onces in Milwaukee and It is soooooooo good. the place opened a long time ago and would fit well with the theme

CHALLENGE 2: OLD HOLLYWOOD
You must design one new Hollywood (the town) based area for DHS. It can be any time period since 1880. Good Luck!

I don't really have time to dedicate to this, but If it were me I would probably focus on Animation Studios, and a redesign of the Animation Area including the Disney Junior Area all the way over to The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Okay so LucasFilm studios taking over Echo Lake, it would be like roaming on the backlot of their studio (not supposed to be real studio though).

1. Indiana Jones EMV ride cloned from DL
2. Endor night fireworks like the conclusion of Episode 6 with walk-around Star Wars characters during the show
3. Mos Eisley Cantina
4. Indoor Jedi Training Academy w/ Yoda in Tatooine

EDIT: I was confused and thought the topic was something else

1. ILM VFX show with Animatronics and Effects and real movie effects in Front of Your Face
2. Indiana Jones EMV ride cloned from DL
3. Endor night fireworks like the conclusion of Episode 6 with walk-around Star Wars characters during the show
4. Mos Eisley Cantina

That's not really Hollywood Turtle...

And @jdmdisney99 is there a certain area it has to go?
